My birds has a personality I just can't get over!! Ive had my green cheek conure, Kiwi, for about 6 years now. He/She has really come out of his shell in the last 2 years. He is talkative....only knows about 5 words but loves to laugh and bark. This morning I went back to sleep on the couch and his cage is very near the couch...all i hear is him whispering Hi Kiwi, Pretty Bird and then cracking. He is sooo cute...is he unusually sweet or do any of you have birds like this? Any stories? He is my first bird Ive ever owned..a gift from grandparents.

My African Grey "Phoebe" is only a year. I've owned her since she was just 6 weeks old. She loves to be with me. She would spend the day on my shoulder if I let her. When I am out of sight she calls to me "Youuuuuu Whooooo". If I'm in the same room but my attention is towards something else she says "whatcha doin?". When I ask her for kisses she responds immediately with soft pecks to my lips. She makes my day happy all the time. I tell my husband, she just like having a baby except there's no crying. She also has an enemy toy in her cage that she likes to push around and call it every word she knows how to say. She's the only bird I know that can make "Love You" sound like a curse word, but only when talking to that toy.

No, this is a parasitical birds egg. Cuckoos try this. Cowbirds try this, however they sell off the unique eggs. A parasitical fowl lays eggs in yet another style birds nest and the the fowl who's nest that's will advance the parasites youthful. some species will wait till hatching to offload the unique eggs, or kill the unique nestlings,. bypass to easily right suited ten and ask fowl lady for an identity of the egg. i think of Indigo is right. I merely have been given an identity at " Cow fowl egg " in my address bar and it appears like a experience. This looks a version on known Cow fowl dumping habit, however.

my little green cheek conure is so sweet&loveable most of the time too.he will be 12 this year, tho i havent had him the long.i was suprised at fast he bonded to me.he just loves to snuggle and give kisses.he talks softly a lot but being hearing impaired i dont always hear what he is saying.but loudly he will laugh, say please, peek a boo and he mimics a cough or sneeze.and he sings the alphabet song.i think he is picking that up from my Quaker parrot who talks and sings nonestop sometimes.

My green cheek Grover lays upside down in his dish as he plays with his bell.He also sticks his head inside of the bell and is always laying upside down in his cage when he plays.I also seen him in his play tunnel massaging his head with on foot and taking a nap.He says baby Grover,Pretty bird and Taco boy(husband say that to dog).Grover sleeps on my shoulder and makes a kissing sound. He was born in march and already does these things.

I have a quaker parrot that is a doll. She talks all the time. She whistles the Andy Griffith theme song. She tells the dogs to go out. She sings her name...gives kisses...likes to be tickled and then laughs. She loves baths. And she argues with my son. Her cage is by his computer and she will get to squaking and he will tell her to hush and then she tells him to hush....it so funny. I love her to death. I've had her almost 3 years now. We enjoy every minute of her.

My Pyrinian Grey-headed cow-raptor is quite funny as well. People tend not to like him though.

Send an adult in to take a look and the dont stay long. Funny thing is that they tend to leave their shoes that he just LOVEs to chew.

Makes a sort of bubbly grumbly laugh when the go. I never see them agian, thats another odd thing.
