I have a 90T gallon tank with convicts in it, It started as 3 females and apparently the fish store lied because now I am going on thirty. the fish store now tells me they can not be sure on gender and they will not take any fish back. I can not get rid of any through classifieds.

I have tried about everything to get rid of them without killing them(they are too cute). Is there anything in the freshwater that would eat them or atleast the fry? the parents are so protective that they will bite me if I put my hand by them in the tank.

Thanks.
Ryan

All of us who are in love with our birds love a specific thing our bird does. And, likewise, we're always looking for new tricks to teach our birds. I figured that by posting this question, we could all put the favorite trick our bird does and then how we taught them to do it, and it would give us all new ideas for new tricks...

Katie, our Greenwing has two. We play "Peek-a-Katie" with her, where I'll hide and say "Where's Katie? Where'd Katie go?" And then she'll flap her wings and say "Here I am!" I taught this really quite easily because if I get out of her sight, she flaps like a lunatic, so that part was easy to praise. Then, when I'd show myself I'd go "Here I am!" in a really excited tone of voice. I did this about 15 times, and she had it.

(I just had to retype the last 20 or so words thanks to my cat...LOL)

The second trick Katie does is "Strike a Pose" where I'll say "Strike a Pose!" and she'll put her wings up in a beautiful display. Same concept...

I was holding my 9 wk old pom puppy on my lap. He started squirming and managed to spin out of my hands and land on his side. Do you think this can produce a serious injury? He fell on his side but just got up quickly and moved on. After a while, I played fetch with him. After a while, he got tired and took a nap --he is always taking naps as all puppies do. He just woke up from his nap and was whining a little. He stopped as soon as I started to play with him again. I am wondering if I need to take him to the emergency room or if I should wait and see if he develops serious symptoms...

I'd like to buy my kitten some snacks to use as treats, so he has something else to eat sometimes other than his regular kitten food.
Any ideas?

well my cat sometimes likes to chew on her tail
the very end of it
we checked and there is not cut or anything
this has been happening for almost a 2 years now
she will sit there and lick it and then walk around like its normal
any thoughts on why she does this?
could the fact she is not fixed have any effect?
she is about 3 years old.

I was wondering, some people say all pups are born with worms, but how could they if the mother doesn't have them? Is it only bad breeders that have pups like that?

I have adopted a new cat. She is a rather small-framed female who is shy. The people I adopted her from found her in a tree and have kept her in their garage for the last couple of months. I just got her today. She is presently sitting in my living room in a very large cage with her own kitty litter, a blanket, her toys, and some cat food and water.

I would like to make her an indoor cat, but I am worried about overcoming her shyness. I have an adult male cat (he is about 11 years old) and an adult female cat (about 3 years old). They are both very healthy, fixed cats. My male cat seems to be very receptive to the new addition, but my female is having a fit (circling the cage, hissing, giving the new cat looks of death).

Any ideas on what I can do to encourage the new cat to open up, and how to get the other cats to be more accepting of her? I have her situated in the middle of the busiest area in the house, because I heard that was the best place.

Does anyone know of any home treatments for a cat with an upper respiratory infection. I know I need to take her to a Vet but I don't know when I'll be able to get her in. Is there anything I can do to help her until then?

I have an 8 month old maltipoo who has gotten into his head he should go to the bathroom on my livingroom carpet!! He was totally clean and always went outside until a week or two ago ... OK, we live in Maine, and it's cold, but so far he has always done his business outside .... We walk him in the mornings, frequently during the day, last thing at night .. he sleeps in the livingroom, and nearly every morning now for the past week we find "surprises" on the carpet! What do we do? I clean the carpet, but suppose he can still smell where he went ... any suggestions other than getting rid of the carpet and/or the dog? Crate him at night? What? This is becoming intolerable ...

I have a little problem with my cat. She uses her litter box to do her busines, but once my husband came home from a deployment, she peeied on one of the living room chair. Is she stressed out by his presence even though she acts like she loves him (sleeps by his side, rubs agains his leg etc.). Is she trying to be the dominant female in the house? What can I use to get the smell out and what is the best cleaner to use to get cat urine out of cushy chairs?
