Whatever name you choose, try to make it a two-syllable name. Dogs respond better to that type of name.

I like to choose names with a theme--I've always loved reading, so all of my animals have been named after authors or characters from my favorite books. (Winston, Oliver, Dante...) A friend of mine is a musician and names all his animals after composers, musicians, and performers. (Pavoratti , Ziggy...). My friend's dad is an art teacher and names his cats after artists. (Picasso, Toulouse, Escher...)

Maybe you can be inspired bysomething you love?

How about Rio? I always thatought that would make a great dogs name.

Whatever you do decide to name that cutie I'd suggest you choose a two syllable name.
