From Wikipedia:

"The chudder is a type of feline vocalization used by tigers and domestic cats as a greeting. It has been described as a throaty trill or chuckle; it is sometimes spelled as "mrrt" or "prrt"."

Okay, let's call it a 'chudder.' My cat 'chudders' when she enters the room, sometimes. Occasionally there's a notable 'brrrrp!' a moment before she's going to jump, from behind, onto the desk I'm sitting at, or there'll be a few little chirps while she's on her way over for a petting.

But, sometimes, it's just a quiet, brief announcement. "I'm in the same room as you." I say hello in return, and apparently that's all that's required.

She always comes over as well if she wants petting, so I'm at a loss to understand why she cares if I know she's nearby. I find it charming, and I'm thoroughly curious.

I have an almost 3month old puppy. (lab cocker x). She chews EVERYTHING! Like right through cords. My auntie suggested this duck that her dog had since she was a puppy and had lasted for a year and a half and my puppy had hers for a few weeks and it's destroyed. She loves bones (with no meat) but she chews them apart too

Any suggestions for strong toys that'll last a bit longer than 2 weeks?

I have two female dogs that have been getting along perfectly for about 2 years. The American pit bull is 6 and the mutt is 2. One day, my brother dropped off his dog (male) and all three of them had no problems with each other for a few days. Then the two females started fighting each other almost every day, for no reason. Even when my brother took the male back to his house, the two females continued to fight. They fight to the point where I fear for their safety...I have separated them for now... What should I do???

I have an 8 week old female pitbull puppy who is very aggressive and loves to bite a lot when she plays. Sometimes I don't no if she is playing or serious because the bite gets pretty painful. Her name is Chyna and she is very smart and for now she's getting house training. I'm not mean to her at all, in fact she's very spoiled, lol. I don't want to fear my own dog in the future, I love her dearly, so do I have something to worry about?.

We have 2 male cats, about 5 months old. One of them has been peeing on everything and its really frustrating. I clean their litter box everyday. And he doesnt just pee a little bit on things. Its A LOT of pee. When we get them neutered, is there any hope that the peeing will stop? Or is it a once they start, they never stop, thing?

My husband had to leave for a month because of his job. He will be back in 3 weeks. This week has been hell with our German Shepherd....he decided to start sitting on the couch and laying in the bed. We already have an issue (that was almost solved before he left) with the dog jumping up on us in excitment when we come home....but now he jumps up on me when he comes in from using the bathroom....when we come in from a walk....and sometimes just for no reason at all. All the sudden he will get excited and start jumping up on me. I know why he is doing this, because he doesn't see me as the leader of the pack....the dominant one....but no matter how scary I try to make my voice and how calm-assertive I try to be....he doesn't listen. My husband is so pissed of at me and is complaining that when he gets home he is going to have alot of work to do. Any advice for me would be helpful...thanks

For my daughters 4th birthday she wanted some goldfish so i got 2 and also a cheap little plastic bowl + accessories.
A couple of months later she saw a proper tank with a filter etc in one of the main petstores and she wanted it, we bought it, got it home, followed the instructions on settin it up and put the fish in. The filter was on the lowest setting and seemed to be sucking the fish towards it. Next morning one fish was dead, we went out & got 2 more fish and within 24hrs they were dead 2!
Can someone advise as Ive read the leaflets, followed instructions and even when i was younger my fish used to last longer than that!!!!
Pleeeease help, my 4yr old is absolutely devastated!

See, I have an Iguana, its still a small one, yesterday i brought it out to my mom´s plants, and well, it bit on one of the " Nochebuena" plant leaf, taking a piece and eating it... anyways..... ironic enough today the plant was dieing. I was thinking it could be just a coincidence... or maybe the Iguanas have a parasite or something that could have infected the plant? I really dont know.... the possibilities of it being just a coincidence are high, but still...what a messy coincidence!!!

I love how he deals with all kinds of dogs and helps people realize that most dogs are bad behaved because of them. I believe this to be true in almost all cases. I'm just curious who else agrees or disagrees. It's a very interesting show!

We inhereted 2 turtles from a family that moved away and could not take them. I think they are red slider turtles, although the family said they were Reeves turtles. In any case they came with a broken light and a cracked cage (nothing is truly free). So, we bought a brand new HUGE aquarium for these little guys with the right light, habbitat and filter system for turtles according to the pet store owner. But the very next day the water is cloudy. WHAT do we do? What did we do wrong? Please help! We want to be GOOD turtle owners!

They are parents-fed, I take them out to play with them. But they haven't come out of the nestbox on their own. The first one which is a day older then the second one comes out but falls on the cage floor. When will they be able to fly and come out safely(without fallling down) from the nestbox?
