They grow a lot faster than we do! Most animals reach adult hood in less than a year, that way they can survive.

Most reptiles grow fairly quickly. My bearded dragon grew from a baby (about 3 inches when I got him) to full adulthood (about 2 feet) in 6 months.

Lizards grow fast! My bearded dragon went from 8 inches (August) to 18 inches (November). It's amazing. He's bigger now though.

Fast at first, then more slowly until they reach an adult size. Just like humans.

fast, thet shed skin to get the new and eventually bigger skin instead of the small older one which they grow out of, thats why it cracks open.
