they do it in sri lanka - it's like recycled paper. and it's real eco friendly, so it's become a big hit.
it's very convenient too; ppl dont need to cut down trees, coz anyways elephants eat them, and it comes out all recycled in their dung!! lol ;P

Yes, paper is made from the dung, in places like Thailand and India where there are many elephants. It's a very easy and simple process, which gets all the germs out of the dung. Basically, the elephant dung paper is just like a paper made out of boiled and crushed grass.

I agree with the post above me. I think zoos make organic paper from it and sell it to tourists to raise money for the animals.
