Well I'm not australian but I can tell you what to feed a ferret. If you can't get hold of ferret food, there are several brands available but it can be expensive and not all pet shop sell it, you can feed your ferret tinned cat food. However it is best to give them cooked fresh meat every day as well if you can. Minced beef or pork is fine. Ferrets have different dietary requirements to cats, they need more protien. Dried cat food or too much tinned cat food can result in them getting crystals in their urine which can cause infections and kidney problems.

You can find cages online (ebay, froogle). I own a ferret and he is awesome! I've had him since he was 6 weeks old, he is 2 years old now. Ferrets eat basically anything that a cat eats. They also like candy (not recommended) and some like veggies. They like to have a big play area and a place they can hide 'things". After the second month or so your ferret will follow you everywhere, so you can get a ferret leash to walk him. Make sure you buy him some sort of ferret vitamin. Good luck!

hi...

I wasn't able to see the website you had linked. Are you talking about the NIC wire grid storage cubes? If you are, I know that walmart.com has them on sale. If you type in the words "whitmor cubes", I think that will bring up the ones that walmart.com sells. I'm not sure how much the shipping is to Australia, though.

I can't answer the second part of your question because I'm not Australian nor do I own a ferret. Sorry!
