my kitten, sometimes will have these moments, were he acts like he is going to barf, but nothing comes out. He does not do it all the time, but what is wrong with him? We have not taken him to the vet, and we got him from a garage.

I have a 3 1/2 year old ragdoll female cat, that within the past few months has decided to start defecating on the carpet in the hallway outside of the bathroom that we keep the litter box. She still urinates in the box (have seen her use it) and the only way we can get her to defecate in the box is if my hubby physically puts her in there and stands there while she does it, other than that she will do it in the hallway. She has nothing physically wrong with her, no illness. We have cleaned the carpet with a steam vac with special cleaners that are suppose to get rid of "the scent" thinking this is why she kept doing it.. We clean the litter box every other day and have even tried different litter and a new litter box and nothing seems to be working. Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get her to stop?? We have a daughter on the way in about a month and would hate to get rid of her over this because she is a great cat otherwise. Someone please help!

my little 6mo. old puppy has strange urinateing habbits. we will take her out approx. about an hour from when we last took her out(or when we think she needs to go). and sometimes she wont go,but when she gets back in the house, sometimes she goes after a just a little while of being brought back inside. my little dog seemed to be potty trained. but after she got sick last month, its almost like she forgot about going outside, could this be a urinary tract infection, or just bad 'potty training' on our part?

She is about 16 years old. She has broken her back twice, and while she still walks I know it is painful for her. She still wags her tail when I get home, comes to greet me and likes to go in and outside. She barks randomly, and the vet said she might have some dimentia. Some days she won't eat, and I think that that is it. Then she'll scarf down all kinds of food. One day she'll pee on herself, and I think that is it, then she won't pee on herself for a couple days. I don't know what to do. I love her, and I just don't know what to do. I don't want to put her down because I am being selfish and she is hard to care for, but I don't want to be selfish and keep her going either. Help~!~

There is someone I know who has taken in 15 cats in the past 5-6 years. The problem? They are locked in her basement. She gives them vet care, food, changes the litter but you could pass out to step in there. Some are really sick and she's brought them to the vet but they don't get better (respiratory problems, weeping eyes). What do you think? Report her? Now that it's cold, she'll probably take more in b/c that's her pattern.

i have a 4 month old pitbull and have had her for about 2 months now. She has had all her shots and she has been checked out by the vet a couple of times and they say she is in perfect health. Well, a couple of weeks after i got her i seen this what looked to be like a dirt on her stomach so i tried to wipe it off and it wont come off. and i noticed she has two dirt looking spots on her stomach by her legs. I say dirt spots cuz it looks like it's dirt but it's not, it wont come off. It looks red and theres like a little pimple of the of the spots. She has 3 spots and there not gettin any smaller. anyone have an idea of what this is? or how i can treat it?

1. The new (9-month-old, neutered) cat is currently in a room in th basement; our (one-year-old, very recently neutered) current cat doesn't have the right to go in the basement so far. Can we let him go in the basement and let the cats talk through the door? (Kiwi arrived just yesterday, is it too soon?)

If you have Yahoo! messenger can you PLEASE add me, and I will ask more questions, my ID is mguppies THANK YOU!

Have been playing on my new Wii games console in my box. Owner has just fed me and thought I would post a question on his computer. Must admit it's a bit sore on the feet this typing lark. Will hint of some socks for my birthday.

Why is it that all the cat fiends out there who are so militantly opposed to declawing cats have naught to say about the practice of docking a dog's tail? It's just as, if not more, inhumane than declawing. And don't forget that many dogs have their ears clipped so they are erect and pointy.
I'm always saddened by the site of a dog with a docked, especially when they wag it. They WANT to be so excited and their little stump wags all it can, but it just doesn't work. :-(
PS I have a cat AND a dog. They have all their claws and the entirety of their tails.
