My cat used the litter box all his life and, due to a family emergency, was left home with little attention for quite some time. He was fed and the little boxes were clean, but there was little time to play and give attention to him. In this time he stopped using the litter box and began going wherever he was at the time. I have also noticed that he lets out a painful "quack" when he goes. I'm concerned he may be constipated but a laxitive will only make the cleanup worse if he uses the floor still. I fear he doesn't use the litter box because he goes when it comes (due to the pain he seems to be experiencing). He still pees in the little box, but seems to poop when it wants to happen rather than when HE wants it to happen. Any suggestions? If the pain is fixed, will he use the litter box again or continue to go wherever becuase he has been for a few years now?

This Cat Of My Friend Jorden had blue eyes. It was a kitten, 12 weeks old, a white kitten with siamese mixed with other things, I think its mixed with Snow sepia Bengal. It was in a dark place, all of a sudden it saw the light and it turned red!

My sister just got a 5 mo. old rottweiler puppy. i think that the owner's just introduced new food with out getting her used to it, so now she has a stomach ache. any ideas on what to do? she is also teething so do you have any ideas as to how we can make her feel better?

Day before yesterday I had to put my 13 year old dog in sleep because he was sickfor the past 3-4 months he had an enlarge heart but he was on medication but lately he stoped eating completely and he was very week and slow in walking or doing anything ( eventhough he was able to response to us) he was dignosed with abnormally high kidney failure. (that made him loss of appetite) and his liver was not good too his vet said he can't to much about it because his kidney funtions are not good at all before he died he started throwing up a lot ( all uria,toxin came out)vetsaid the only thing they can do is keep him in the hospital for few days and they can give him fluid but he was never going to be recover(unfortunately) then we had to take that painful decision to put him down:( I feel guilty now eventhough I know I did the right thing best for my dog) and I am very heartbroken to loose him my each day is though to deal with. How can I survive? Am I gulty for killing my dog? Please help.

I got a puppy and feed him dry food only. I put it in a bowl on the floor. When he eats it, he gets his paw and digs 1-10 pcs out with his paw and then eats it off the floor. Does anyone know why he does this? Thanks!!

So im watching my friends cat for the next 2 weeks while they are away on vacation... only I know nothing about cats at all (only have dogs) They wanted to keep him in the basement because he was hurt a few weeks ago( cant let him roam the house or he will ruin everything, as they have tried this before), so when i went over to feed him today, he came out of the basement and I couldnt get him back down, he wanted to go outside and would bite me when i tried to put him in the basement. I called the owners and they told me to keep the garage a few inches open and put his food in the garage and lock the doors to the house. Just a few questions since I am used to dogs, who are not this independent!
What if it snows? will he be okay?
Where will he sleep?
Should I put the litter box out in the garage as well or will he just go outside?


Any cat advice would be nice.

My ferret bites me a lot. In fact, too much. I don't know how to get him to stop! I've tried telling him no, but he just keeps on doing it no matter what I say. I was told when I got him to NEVER hit him so I never struck him even when he broke the skin. So if you're one of those sick pet abusers, I don't want your opinion because I'm not going to hit him in any way. I love my ferret, and I'm not going to get rid of him either. Oh and he's grown so it's not a kit thing he's going to grow out of. How do I get him to stop???

The pup is a 2 months old Labrador male, he got fractured in the femur, we don't really know how, we just heard him crying and ran down to get him. One of the vets says he will operate the dog to put a couple of pins in cross for the bone to heal properly, the second says the dog should be fine with a bandage, splint or cast.

My grandfather, an orthopedist doctor, has the same opinion of the second vet, but I want the dog to heal as fast as possible and with the least pain as possible. Currently the dog sometimes hurts himself when getting up, or pooping.

Please advice with expert opinions.

I have a new Lab Pup- He is very good except he barks and whines un controllably at 6:30am. untill someone goes and brings him in the main house area, he has loads of toys and fresh water.... I get up and give him breakfast.... at 6am daily then go back to bed. I leave him in the huge garage untill i am up. Once he is inside the house with me he wont bark at all- So I know its attention seeking behaviour- I would love some suggestions? has anyone been through this at all? I know I cannot yell at him nor can I go to him when he is doing this! Its very strssful and I hate him being so upset.
