How old is your dog? I THINK he/she may have a bladder problem. I mean, it may be normal for your type of dog, but 6 - 10 times a day is a lot. I'm not a doctor, I only work as a receptionist in a vet clinic, but he/she may need a urinalysis test. But go ask your pets doctor - DON'T FREAK OUT! There may be no issue, just to make sure - like I said - I'm not a veterinarian.

Dogs are not Human so firstly you should not be making a comparison.
Yes, Dogs drink a lot of water, they actually need to you.
Regulating a dogs water instake is actually considered cruel & neglect and Animal Welfare can criminaly charge you.
If you are concerned take the dog to the Vet for a check up.

You should probably monater you dogs water intake, but notby alot. It could be due to infection, weather, or any other reason. After you dog drinks alot, take him for a walk about twenty min. after!
P.S.- It might also be dure to old or very young age.

Lots of things can cause that, sometimes the air is dry and dogs drink more than they need to, sometimes it's the food, the chew toys, is she on any meds. These are all things that must be ruled out one by one. My boxer had the same problem until got a humidifier.

Depending on the age of the dog it could be an infection or diabetes. You need to get him checked by a vet.
