I think our two Bullies could have the onset of Pneumonia. The reason is that one is a "swimmer" pup and pneumonia is very common in them. They are not as lively and happy as usual. I took the temp of the "swimmer" and it was 100.7, normal. They do ahve a bit of a runny nose and just seem more tired and less lively. My question is how much penicillin should we give them in a shot form. It is pinicillin g, very common and safe, I do not want to take any chances. The little boy was coughing earlier today. They are int he house with us, but it has been a little chilly in here today. Tomorrow we will be going to the vet, at least call her, she usually can help us over the phone, but I prefer to start an antibiotic treatment now instead of wait another day. If you have any suggestions on how to use the penicillin and what else I may do, please answer. I do not need the lecture or lesson on ethical breeding. No, I am not spaying my breeding females, and yes I do use the vet!

My dog Molly, a yellow lab, won't come near me at all unless she HAS to! It gets so frustrating after awhile. She only comes to me when she has to pee or poop. She won't even come to me for something to eat. I have to make sure that she eats, and sometimes I have to take the food TO her. Most of the time she comes to her food if I'm not around to see her and af. The moment that she hears me coming to the kitchen to get something, she runs away to the living room or upstairs to avoid me. If I didn't give her food, she'd be dead by now. All she does is stay in her cage and never moves from that place until my mom gets home. Then she's playful and happy, and she's never in her cage. I just don't understand! I've never done anything bad to her! I've only yelled at her a couple of times in the year that we've had her, and that was for big "mishaps" like for chewing stuff up. I'm nice to her and give her lots of treats and pet her, but she's still a chicken and cold to me.

I was wondering how long should I leave my filter during the day in a 10 gallon tank with dividers that has 4 bettas? The spot where the filter is bothering one of my Betta since it circulates the water in his spot. So how many hours should I leave the filter on per day?

I just did and itdose not look like a pit bull. I have been at the brith of two litters of pits in the past month and that puppiy looks nothing like one. My pit was 8weeks when I got it but still there is no way they looked anything alike.

I have three cats, two of whom are perfectly litterbox trianed, just by me showing them where the litterboxes are, but another who...well, let's just say she lives up to her name of Hitler (she has a black mustache, she's antisocial, and she drops poop bombs all the time!). She only poops in one of our two litterboxes, regardless of cleanliness of either, and when she goes in the floor, she only does it in ONE place: right up against this certain wall in my living room. We've tried having the carpet and walls cleaned, in case there is a certain scent telling her this is a pooping zone, and it doesn't help. Now, we just tell her "No!" while showing her the poo, then put her outside. We bring her back in the next day and take her straight to the litterbox, set her in it, and pet her to encourage her. However, this has NO effect. Please help! I want my kitty to stay indoors so she doesn't get run over or eaten, but I can't deal with her poop anymore!!!

No i am not tired of my dog its just that my parents wont help me out any and they told me the only way id beable to get a horse is to sell my dog. they said you probably wont do anythin with him once yo get a horse anyway. and i kinda feel like im betraying my dog though. i already have it set up to where i could keep the horse at my friends house free, and split the food cost with her, and i old enough to babysit so icould make money doing that to pay for a farrier and evrything. so it wouldnt cost that much. and im 14, ive wanted a horse since i was 3. but my parents got me a dog instead. which didnt bother me any. but its been my life long dream. what should i do????????????????????????????

I had a chihuahua and i kept it from the time it was 6 weeks old until it was 6 months old and it never stopped chewing. It chewed up my couch, chair, tables, even chewed the blood out of people. I tried every thing to get him to stop (chew toys, raw hides, spray etc...) So i sold it to a couple in Fla (I live in VA). Now i am kind of regretting selling it, i feel like i "failed" the dog, like i was a bad "mom". It now has another dog its age and breed to play with and a small child and a wonderful home but i dont know, im just still sad........ I worry that he will not adjust and that he will miss me and what he is used to. Is it normal to feel this way?

on the news last night..thieves broke into a home..stole the gifts..and also stole there little yorkie dog..the dog is very old and on medication..the theft took place in miami area..i hope the thieves rot in hell 4 ever..and hope the little dog is returned unharmed..poor thing..

This is the most stupid question that I have ever asked in my entire life, but here goes! On Sunday, my family got home to find our dogs were missing. One is a black mini dachshund and one is a yellow lab. I have tried everything I can think of to find them and bring them home. This is my last resort. If there is any person out there who things he or she is REALLY a psychic, please help us find our puppies. And don't bother telling me how stupid this is. I ALREADY KNOW!! But I'm desperate to find them.

This dog is a big dog and i dont really like him to lye on the furniture. He still jumps on the couch when we leave home. Also i like for him to stay in the laundry rom while the family eats but he just doesn't listen. Our other two dogs listen but this one just doesn't listen!!! HELP! please.

I hv a 2 mo grey houd and its legs are kinda twisted. The vet says his bones arnt growing as fast as his body is. Some deficiency of calcium he says. Now how can this be fixed? Is it a heridity? the dog shivers wen it walks. please help me out here even da vet is not sure wats going on? we tried to use some wooden support for its legs, but that didnt work either. My Bichon is a two yr. old male. He was neutered at 6 mos. He still cocks his leg to pee and he does it all over the house and on the furniture. The other 2 yr. old male squats to pee and was neutered the same day as the other. No problems with him. They see the vet at the end of the month. Should/can dog be neutered again?
