When we took her, Koko, in, she had a broken paw, but it healed and now she's perfectly healthy, if not a bit starved for attention. We also took in her sister, Shadow, so she would have company.

Shadow is growing just fine, but Koko isn't. We've had her for about 3 months, and she's still small enough to fit in my hand. Is this something I should be worried about, or is everything just fine?

I have a 4 month old pit bull puppy, and ever since he was a baby, he would always act like he was "excited". Up to this day, he acts the same way, he's always sexually excited and it kind of worries me because I have another pit puppy (they're both brothers), and he tries to hump on the other one. I don't know if he will try to escape from my yard when he gets a little bit older, or if its normal for him to be that way. I really don't plan on breeding either one of them, so I will get them both neutered when they're about 8-9 months old. I just don't want to run the risk of my puppy going out my house and getting a ***** pregnant.

And how many times since you put your tree up this season, have you had to re-do it.Because "Fuffy" felt the need to rearrange it?
You know knock a few balls of here and take some tinsel off there, and do away with the snowman that was ( i guess hanging ) in the wrong place.....

I don't own birds, but a friend of mine does and she has 13 of them!!!! She suffers from MS and I just don't think this many birds in a house is healthy, especially with her illness. Am I wrong?

She is a year and a half old and housetrained. Has not happened before. She just started doing it about a week ago at night. She gets taken out several times a day and always before we go to bed(so shes had a normal routine for over a year that we have not changed). She goes in the same spot in the kitchen every night for the last 5 or 6 days. Usually dont find it til the next morning so its hard to dicipline her for something she did hours earlier. Any suggestions as to why she might have started doing this and how to get her to stop?

I've lived with my boyfriend for 2 years now and she still hisses at him and keeps her distance. She has done that to my exes as well. I think she has male issues. She likes one of my guy friends (he's very calm) and my mom's boyfriend (he's older), but that's all for men. She likes all women though. Do men come off more aggressive to cats? Is that why she's scared and mean? Is there anything I can do to get them to like each other?

Well i got this dog almost a year gohe has been great and in just a years time ive grown pretty attached. Well i live in a fema park (thanks katrina) and its closing down so they are moving us to well where ever they tell us to go and well the place they decided i cant have an animal over 20 lbs. He is 47lbs. So im pretty ate up about this my wife 2. who woulda thought that in just a year u could get attached to a animal. Well i know no one to take care of him till somethin else happens........so i have to put him up to the humane society but i dont know how they will treat him. Will they actually find hima home or will they just put him down. Im really confused any advice would be appreciated.

My dog is at day 63 of gestation and has been sort of shuddering and shaking all day, no puppies, but does have some leakage of fluids . . . when should I be concerned about her health and the health of the puppies? It has not been readily apparent to me that she is having contractions (I can't see them, or even feel a hard belly) Any ideas? Input?

Please no comments about spaying . . . this was a planned pregnancy

im an architecture student and planning to do a thesis on creating the most efficient and complete animal shelter which can cater all the animals needs to assure the comfort and health of the buildings occupants (humans included). since the site would be located in a tropical country (say somewhere around borneo), i guess the needs have to be specified differently. hope u animal lovers can help out. so far im focusing on domesticated and stray animals, not to sure about the wild. but its still taken in consideration.

I volunteer at a low funded municipal pound that takes in strays and surrendors. They keep the dogs there as long as they can (much much longer then required by law) but don't always find homes. I put them up on petfinder.org, and as far as I know there are no rescue groups that take mutts. Any other ideas to advertise these loving strays for a good home?
