Three times the ferrets climbed to the top of the tree & knocked it over, twice my cat has stolen the tinsel & my dog has only eaten 1 ornament this year (last year he ate 4). Animals are such a blessing that they outweigh the trouble though. Thank God or I would have beaten them by now, lol.

My cats have only knocked one ball off the tree so far. I always pinch the hook down over the branch so the ornaments don't come off as easily. And I keep my "better" ornaments up towards the top (out of kitties' reach).
Tinsel is actually really bad for cats... if they eat it, it will stop them up and they'll get REALLY sick.
Sounds like you just have a re-decorator! ;-)

First of all, tinsel is extremely DANGEROUS to pets...if they ingest it, it could wrap arounfd their intestines and kill them.
If you don't want kitty to play with the Christmas tree (I hang unbreakable ornaments on the bottom branches for my kitty to bat) consider buying a used playpen and putting the tree inside it.

oh, you are so lucky. Our cats, CLIMB our tree. And bat at the ornaments until they fall, and break. and that fence thing? Doesn't work. Our cats actually take a running LEAP. Yeah...our ma's thinkin about gettin rid of 'em come next x-mas...

i just put the pit bull under the tree cat ain't got in it yet. cat stays on the cat bed or in the other room.

we have a wall of gifts preventing the cats from playing with the decorations, seems to be working well, and i dont have to rip up the giftwrap anymore, my cats did it for me.
