no, what good what it do. i would feel bad but what is done is done... as already stated if you hit it on the interstate.....then it is proably dead. if it isn't it is not gonna be in any mood to deal with a stranger........ next you risk injury to yourself by stopping . someone could hit you or anything

Would you stop if it were a person?
My dog jumped the fence ran into the street an got hit by a car. I saw it. My dog was running to the grade schoolers bus stop to see the kids, so needless to say all the kids saw this happen. The car never even slowed down.
What kind of a person doesn't stop? Maybe that should be the question.

I'm an animal person so I would have to stop. I would hope that if by some chance one of my dogs got loose and was roaming an interstate and got hit someone would stop, to check tags and get them to a vet if they were still alive. It's just the right thing to do!!!

No, I would not keep going. I would try to find the owners and I would pay for the vet bill if the dog lived. If I knew the dog was dead, I would still try to find the owner and would apologize profusely and offer to pay for the dog. I would stop because I am a dog lover and would want someone to do the same for me.

yes i'd stop. but keep in mind anytime you're approaching an injured animal protect yourself. this animal might try to bite because of the pain. so don't stop rush up to the animal and try to pick it up. and honestly if you're on an interstate, you've probably killed the dog. keep yourself safe, call highway patrol and have them come remove the dog.

I am a dog lover, so if i hit a dog i would stop and rush the innocent animal to the nearest vet hospital.

I believe it is a legal requirement that you stop. I would probably stop in the hopes of identifying the dog so that I could sue the owner for the damage to my car.

This may sound harsh, but in this area people are the worst pet owners. They are totally irresponsible and let their animals run loose all the time. Then the poor animal suffers for the ineptitude of the owners.

I love animals. If I could safetly stop and help the dog I would. If it wasn't safe for me to stop then no. Even though I love animals if it weren't safe for me to stop it would be pointless for me to. What good would I be to the animal if I stopped and it was unsafe and I was injured trying to help the dog?

I would stop, because what if the dog isn't hurt that bad but he isn't hurt bad enough to keep him from going home to get help for himself?
