In my shop I use a diluted version of Dawn. If the kitten has fleas, let the Dawn sit for five minutes then rinse, rinse, rinse.

Try not to get ANY shampoo in its eyes as this will burn them and can blind them.

Bathing kittens at an early age is fine, just not more than once a week. Getting them used to the idea of a bath is crucial should you decide to take them to a groomer.

Never use people shampoo since the PH balance is more harsh than shampoo made especially for cats/kittens, or dogs/pups.

If your kitten is of the long haired variety, then get a brush made for the long haired breeds. A reputable groomer would be happy to teach you how to safely brush your kitten

Good luck!

No. Use a very gentle shampoo like toddler shampoo, do not use plenty. make confident the water temperature isn't hotter than one hundred tiers F. do not bathe your cat more beneficial than two times a three hundred and sixty 5 days.

I use "tear free" baby shampoo for my kittens when I NEED to bathe them. However I would recommend just using a washcloth that has been dampened with warm water. Remember a mother cat would lick her baby to clean it, but she doesn't know how to use shampoo! :)

Please don't use the dog shampoo. There is shampoo for kittens and cats. It really isn't necessary to bathe a cat. I have had cats all my life, and they do a pretty good job of cleaning themselves. However, it is good to brush them. Be gentle when you brush them to. Ask your vet what brush or comb would be good for your kitty. Good luck with your new kitten.

you can !! IT will cause no problems to the cat. in fact there is no differences in cat or dog shampoos. just keep any of them out of their eyes and it will be OK. in fact if you don't have neither dog or cat shampoo you can use the shampoo we humans use to wash a cat or dog with. I have used it on them for years with no problems. the only thing is our shampoo has nothing that will kill fleas, although the soap from any shampoo will kill them for a short period of time.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless it says, "Cat and Dog" shampoo.

You're better off shampooing your kitten with ordinary baby shampoo.

No! The chemicals might be too strong and it's not worth the risk. You shouldn't need to bathe your cat anyways, they clean themselves.

No. Please use cat/kitten shampoo - dog shampoos, especially flea-removing ones, can be dangerous for cats, especially kittens.

Hell no....please don't. I never even knew that your supposed to wash cats. I've had a cat for twelve years and I've never washed him. He seems to stay clean all by himself.
