I have just read a question about a 'crazy' 6 month old labrador, the person asking is saying her dog is crazy and afraid it will attack the baby - I won't mention the name to save from embarrassment. Well, HELLO! Dogs are a full -time commitment, why have one if you are too busy/broke/clueless to keep and train him properly? They are a responsibility, and this 'crazy' young healthy will be another sad statistic at the vets or homeless pound, because the clueless dolly of an owner simply did not think about the commitment of dog ownership.

When I first got him, he didn't bite. But ever since he tried to escape, when I put my hand in the cage, he'll sniff it and eventually bite it. He didn't used to do this before. What can I do?

Does the dog think there is another dog inside the mirror? Does he/she bark? Walk back and forth or what?
Does the dog realize that it is him/her?
Or does it depend on the individual dog?

I am moving from USA to AUS and will be taking my Great Dane with me. A typical dane, she suffers from anxiety and I fear flying in the cargo area may be too much for her. Is there a way to qualify her as "special needs?" Thanks for your input, I'm really worried about this!

I've never taken any of my dogs to formal training before. however, having a JRT mix as well as a Lab mix with separation anxiety, I'm thinking this time it's out of my hands.

What types of credentials do you look for in a trainer? I'm not looking to do agillity or make them assistance dogs, I just want a couple issues resolved such as socialization for the JRT and how to help ease the separation anxiety for my lab mix.

Thanks in advance!

Frances has been sick for a few days--trouble passing a hairball. She is all better now, I'm happy to say. But between vomiting and attempts to give her medicine, there's a lot of gunk in her fur that we need to clean off. If I have to bathe her, I will, but it seems to me she's been through enough trauma lately! Is there a way I can "spot-clean" her gently that will work? Please share your ideas. Thanks.

my friend tells me I over feed mine. I got her and I a miss. mud a year ago, mine is 3 times the size of hers, mine is also alot more active. the only thing i can figure out is that she keeps the water temp at 75 degrees, and doesn't feed it enough. I keep mine at 85 degrees. I try to tell her that her turtle should be growing at least a
little bit, she gets upset with me. So why isn't her turtle growing??? Please give me some suggestions I can tell her.
Thanks
