i'm looking at a piece of property that will allow me to have a horse again. it's been 14 yrs and i'm not physically in the best of shape. i've been run over, kicked, and thrown off too many thoroughbreds and standardbreds. my spine is a little twisted. i've been told TENN WALKERS have a very easy gait. they look smooth, but what's their temperment? here in NH we have the small but "blocky" quarter and morgan types which have great temperments, but choppy gaits. and race horses of course.
also, i have a saddle that is about 120 yrs (i'm not kidding!!!). it has a really high back and horn. similar to a cavalry saddle. it's like a rocking chair. but it's in desperate need of repair. i'd prefer to take it to someone here in NH but so far i haven't been able to find anyone. i'd love some suggestions. it's the only saddle comfortable enough for me to use, and the guy that gave it to me 25 years ago for my 16 th b-day is dying of cancer. this is a special saddle.

Where can I keep my beta fish?

I have two tanks of 4ft each. One of them I have 8 full grown angels, with two full grown plecos and 2 full grown bronze catfish. The other one I have 18 full grown silver mollies all my breeds. With the mollies I have one full grown pleco and 2 bronze catfish, still to grow. I have a male beta fish and I wish to put him in one of these tanks so that he will have more space to swim in. Which tanks from the above is the most suitable one for him? Or shall I buy another large tank just for him.

13 dogs In house next door?

Our nieghbours have 13 dogs which cauase noise, smells and a garden which is a disgrace. We have tried geting the council to kerb the dogs numbers and control their breeding activities but to no avail any sugestions ?

help regarding my hamster?

can someone please help? My 2 year old son was playing with the hamster and dropped him on the floor, and now he's just lying on his back twitching. I've put him back in his cage, but no matter how hard I try he wont run up and down his tube. I've tried pushing him and bribing him with food but he just lies there twitching.

Do dogs get colds?

I know this question has been asked before. For the last 4 days my 2 yr old yellow lab mix has been sneezing ALOT. It a very fierce sneeze. She has been doing this on and off all day long. Ive never seen a dog sneeze so much. She also has green gunk coming from her eyes. I am not sure if its a cold or some sort of allergies.

my collie hates other dogs she would prefer to ignore them rather than play,the thing is when she was in season last we were out walking and she showed no interest in other dogs at all and neither did the dog we were walking with so is it possible for a dog never to be horny sorry its the only way to describe it.
plz dont come on and say it was stupid of me to take her out while in season.have you ever tried to keep a border collie in for three weeks?.

does any body else agree with putting certain dogs to sleep?

i have a pit bull and a rottweiler. my mom has a yorkie... if one of my dogs bites someone for hurting me they get put to sleep, my moms little yorkie bites ppl all the time as well as a lot of small obnoxious dogs and nothing happens.... what isyour outlook on the way our country (the U.S) handles animals and there behaviors?

How do I stop my 10 month old Springer Spaniel from eating my garden fence?

He is left with our 10 week old springer puppy for no longer than 2 hours at a time and has recently started to tear slats from the garden fence and tear them to bits. It is too expensive to keep replacing the fences so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Seperation Anxiety in dogs??

I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback 18 month-old dog. everytime i go out he completely trashes the house. when he is left outside he escapes, when in the bedroom he rips duvets etc, kitchen he eats the mail, oven and cupboards.
i dont want to get rid of him as he is highly epileptic and he needs special care but im sick of finding my house ruined after leaving him for an hour.
we have another dog who is fine being left alone. if we leave them together he is no better and still pulls the house apart.
I cant afford lots of treatments for him, does anyone have any ideas???
