my collie hates other dogs she would prefer to ignore them rather than play, the thing is when she was in season last we were out walking and she showed no interest in other dogs at all and neither did the dog we were walking with so is it possible for a dog never to be horny sorry its the only way to describe it.
plz dont come on and say it was stupid of me to take her out while in season.have you ever tried to keep a border collie in for three weeks?.

you put a male with her and she will come around...walking her doesn't mean she's going to jump the first male she sees...you have to introduce A male to her and put them alone in a room and it will happen. i breed yorkies and have seen it all.....i have females that don't like certain males also...just find her the right one"a nice male dog" is'nt that what you parents wanted also...lol...a"nice young man" she's just picky and be glad she don't just want any dog.good luck

Female dogs may never show interest in a male dog and even when she is "ripe" she may still grow or ignore him. I have found that females get "horny" between the 11th and 15th days of their heat. When you pet them near the rump or their belllies the tail twitches and the urge your hand to continue this is the time to introduce a male if you want to cross her, often the female is muzzled and held.

you didn't say how old she is, in any case dogs are believe it or not very picky in their mates. She will show interest when she is ready. Maybe she was either too early in her season or just ready to go out of season. She just might not like that particular dog.
