Pets - 10 November 2006

My partner and I are looking into getting a dog but we both work 4 days a week, however he doesn't leave the house until 9.30 am and I am usually back at 4.30pm. we also have a family member who is prepared to come at lunch time and take the dog out for a walk. we also don't have a garden but live right near the beach. Is there any dog that would be right for us and if so what age of dog is best?

We have the medicine for my puppy's roundworms. He has taken one dose every 10 days for the past month and a half, like the vet told us to do. I noticed this morning that there are still very much alive worms coming out in his feces. How can I get rid of these! The vet just keeps telling me to continue giving him the medicine, but can't too much of the medicine be bad for him!? It's a white creamy liquid, and my pup seems to love the taste it seems like, but I don't want to have to give this to him forever! Please help!

i started to pick my dogs poo up with tissue and flush it down the toilet because i don't like having it hanging around in the bin for a week. but my dad told me not too, because dog poo does not break down like humans and it blocks the drains (not sure were he got this information) does anyone know if this is true.

it is completly unrealistic to say that you shouldnt leave your dog during the day. you people, why dont you go to work? if your well enough to take a dog for long walks a couple of times a day then why the hell arnt you working. ill tell you why, becourse you know you can get away with sitting on your fat a r s e s preaching to other people about what is right and wrong wile you wait for your benifit check to drop though the door. if you cannot support yourself by going to work how can you afford the finacial comittment that a dog will need. no doubt i will get lots of thumbs down for this, probably becourse most the people who agree with me are out at work!!!!!!!!! this is not a qeastion as such just somthing that keeps coming up and it really gets on my nerves.

Ok for some reason this Q was removed once...
I have a Shih Tzu and a Pomeranian, and when they play my Pom will put his butt in my Shihs face, my Shih Tzu will hump him and then my Pom will lick my Shihs mouth, then they both start licking each others mouth nonstop. Why is this?

I had a dream that i built a 30 foot pond in my garden, then i filled it with water. I went to the shop and brought some big fish and then teturned to the pond. I placed the fish into the water then i went into the house. When i went back to see the fish they had gone except One Big Fish was swimming above me in the air? I wake up so what does this mean?.
