Take a roll of 2 ft high chicken wire drop attach it to the bottom of the fence drop strait down to the ground & then bend it in an L shape along the ground. Cover the part laying on the ground with a tin layer of soil or sod to keep it outta the mower. If the dog digs close to the fence hes gonna hit the chicken wire & he is unlikly to be sucessful tunneling under starting from 2 ft out!

The only way that I've found to stop my dogs from digging their way out of the yard was to put rocks down in any new holes that they dig, eventually they got tired of trying to dig their way out because every time they started a new hole they'd come back to work on it only to find rocks in the hole preventing them from digging any more. Good question.- James

Sounds like he wants out! He needs to be walked every day to explore the neighborhood...he think he's missing out on something. He needs more supervision in the yard too, and positive reinforcement when he is not digging....good luck.
