Pets - 10 November 2006

I have a white german shepard and she has had some anxiety issues whenever we leave. I don't know what to do to help her. We have tried putting her in different parts of the house when we leave just for a short time. but she sttill gets so upset and shreds things. It's starting to worry us and put a damper on our furniture. What can we do to help her?

My cat has been acting funny the last couple of days, she seem to have a problem with the back end of her and she lays on her belly with her back legs up meowing, she is only 8-9 months old, she was like that once before but then was fine, she seems really connected with us at the minute, i.e: She loves cuddles and craves attention at night time.. is there something wrong with her? I will take her to the vet monday, but i am worried now and is nothing i can do now, any help or advice appreciated.

ps: She is an indoor cat and has not been hit by a car or anything like that, she never goes outside.

As much as I'd like to think all my cats love me best. I know Whiskers loves my mom best. Pumpkin is in love with my dad and Marmalade is my little baby :)

My first time own two kittens at one time has left me feeling very new to this when in fact I have raised quite a few kittens in my life time. I purchased two male kittens, about 4 months old, from a pet store which apparently takes strays and sells them. The kittens have two very different personalities which is normal of course, but these differences make me feel as though I am neglecting one when paying attention to the other. Though its mostly just motherly worries, my main concern is that the kitt with the younger less dominant personality may not be able to bloom fully into his own personality with his brother being much more in your face and bold and clear about what he wants. Havok (the more timid) mimics what Hazard does, Havok also seems to act out, getting into trouble for attention when it is he who lays off alone. He also shows signs of being slower (mentally) then normal in various aspects. Im afraid he may be better off as an only cat but Id hate to see him go. :( help!

i have 3 catfish and 1 algae eater they are all under 4 inches long i bought a new fish i think its a koi or a goldfish im pretty sure its a koi though and when the light in my tank is on the cat fish leave the koi alone but when i turn it off the start to maul him i cant get a new tank until christmas unless its fairly small (under 5 gallons) and cheap i am currently keeping the koi in a huge pickle jar with some gravel and a aerator but i dont think i should do that for more than a few days , what should i do ?

Hey veryone! My fourteenth birthday is at the end of november and im getting a 29 gallon fish tank! I was wondering about some cool animal species to put in it!I have two guppies, 4 tetras, a snail, and an african dwarf frog! i want it to be freshwater and not to hard to maintane. I would like some more snails, maybe shrimps, or some cool fish or some kind of invertabrates! Id apriciate your help!

I driving down the road this morning and I saw 3 dogs. One of the dogs, a little chiwawah (i have no idea how to spell it), was dragging its little back legs. I know he belongs to one of my neighbors, but I don't know any of my neighbors and they don't know me. I would have loved to picked up the dog and taken it to the vet right then. I don't even know if I have the right to do anything to help this dog.

Two years ago my 18 year old baby brother died. My mom, myself, and my sister all mentioned to eachother about the ladybugs that seemed to surround us at this sad time. So now, ladybugs are somewhat spiritual or symbolic of the love we all had for my brother. I came up with the idea of raising ladybugs (if at all possible) and then letting them all fly away either on his birthday every year or every anniversary of his passing. Can anyone tell me how to breed ladybugs? How do they live? What do they eat? What kind of tank or container should they live in? What should the temperature of their environment be like? Should I just catch 5 or 10 and put them together and just hope I've caught at least one of each sex? What are my chances of successfully being able to raise ladybugs? Thank you for your help.

I have balls of hair that have turned in tumble weed across my house. I also have an 9 month old baby that I know has eaten some dog hair. I must sweep up the hair about 3 times a day. Can I get this under control and can that hurt the baby?…lol
