If your dog is a brachycephlic dog (one with a "pushed-in" nose) then they generally snore.

Another option, other than putting the dog somewhere else, would be to get the problem corrected.

Some veterinarians can do a surgery similar to the kind that doctors do for people who snore that removes the excess skin in the back of the throat. This will usually corrects or at least helps with the snoring.

If you opt for having this done, be sure to go to a vet that specializes in this type of surgery.

Get him one of those nasal strips! No, really, the only thing that I can think of is if he is overweight. Just like people, if you are overweight you have a tendency to snore. If he is one of those dogs with a pushed in nose, like a pug, bulldog or the like, you are probably out of luck, unless you want to consider surgery. Invest in a good set of soft earplugs and you will get your sleep.

I have a pug and he snores louder than any man I've ever seen. It is a characteristic of the type of dog. So, if you love you pup as much as I love mine, sleep with the tv on to drown out the noise....

Are you kidding me? You can't make anything stop snoring.

Please do not put the dog outside at night, especially if it's a small dog. Just don't let it sleep in your room. Get him a bed in the living room or laundry room and close your door at night. Honestly, this is common sense.

My little Pug puppy sounded like a buzz saw. I don't think this can be cured. I bought some ear plugs. Now I like the sound and cannot go to sleep without it. And I am a light sleeper! Best of luck to you!!

Don't let him sleep with you anymore or buy a box fan (it makes a lot of white noise).
