For heartworm/flea control http://www.petsuppliesnet.com

For wholesome treats http://www.petextras.com

For shampoo, grooming supplies, beds, and other stuff http://www.valleyvet.com

Individual items can be googled to find a price that might be better by a dollar, but overall these have been the places that I keep going back to. They all have awesome customer service.

If you need to ask this information in the fish section of YA then you're not ready to open a store. You need to speak to your bank and get a proper business model, it will be a business after all, and forget animals for the time being. Get the premises and licences sorted first - you will probably need at least one, if not several, licences before you can sell livestock!! Also, obtaining animals will be tricky as they will mostly be farmed ones available to pet stores. A good dog/cat/small mammal breeder DO NOT sell to pet stores!! An "animal broker" will be getting farmed animals with suspect health histories and even fake paperwork. You don't have to sell animals to be a pet store! You can just as easily just sell the hardware, like decent cages, tanks, leashes, collars, food etc. You need to do market research in your area and see what is in demand! Just another store that sells puppy mill dogs probably isn't wanted.

Don't really know if it's the cheapest but PetSmart is the best pet store. No selling of cats, dogs, or rabbits-- they adopt all three where I live with the local shelter-- and very few of any other pets!

Ryanspet.com geared more toward the professional groomer/kennel but they have great prices. And since I live in AZ I have the advantage of free or very low shipping costs.

For medical needs of your pets and livestock try Upco.com
