No. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is very different than the American & English Cocker Spaniels. The King Charles is a toy /lap dog while the cockers are sporting dogs.

A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is not a Cocker Spaniel. Cockers are one of many types of Spaniels. They all look pretty similar in terms of dogs, but can vary greatly in size. King Charles are the only Spaniels that are in the AKC Toy Class instead of the Sporting Class.

no a king charles is not a cocker spaniel. they are two different breeds. in terms of characteristics and likes , they are different.
i guess that you think it's the same because a king charles is also called a english toy spaniel????a king charles is a little timid. it should be very wel groomed for a cocker spaniel, temperment varies. a good thing is that it gets along with cats.
