I know this question has been asked before. For the last 4 days my 2 yr old yellow lab mix has been sneezing ALOT. It a very fierce sneeze. She has been doing this on and off all day long. Ive never seen a dog sneeze so much. She also has green gunk coming from her eyes. I am not sure if its a cold or some sort of allergies.

Thanks everybody for your responses. I am taking my dog to the vet at 4:30 today. Ive had dogs all my life, and never seen a dog sneeze like that for so many days.

Yes they do. The nose is a big detector in how the dog is feeling. When its moist (not dripping just moist to the touch) that generaly means they are fine and healthy. If it is dry or over moist/runny that means their health may be down.
Most dogs have typical cold symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, or even a low grade fever.
My second sourse link also explains that sneezing could mean Upper Respiratory Tract Infection though this is not a garauntee of what it is. I'd say call a local vet office and just ask what they think. (kind of like ask a nurse at hospital they can give you a more certain answer)

Yes, dogs can get colds and upper respiratory infections just like humans but it sounds like an allergy (dust, pollen, grass, etc.). Take her to the vet and let her/him determine exactly what's the cause. If her lung sounds are fine,no fever, no cough and no other signs of infection then it's probably an allergy but let your vet make the diagnosis.
I live in south Texas and my female German Shorthair is allergic to cactus. She gets hives everytime she comes in contact with it and looks like something out of a horror story with lumps all over her body. Needless to say, I keep a good supply of Benadryl on hand. Good luck.

Dogs don't get colds. If your dog has not been vaccinated it could be distemper. An allergy could also be a possible cause. You need to take her to a vet as this is not going to clear up by itself.

You should contact your vet if your worried about your pet. They can get colds but sounds more like an allergy. Your pet could need some medication for this problem. Hope its okay soon x

Yes, dogs can get almost everything humans can. Allergies, colds, cancer, cataracts, the whole nine yards. This sounds more like allergies though.

Yes. They do. Dogs are practically like human beings. Bring your pet to the vet if you don't want to lose him/her. The condition may get worse if immediate action is not taken.
