This does work to stop your dog getting fleas, you need to give your dog just one brewers yeast tablet a day, and it does really work so ignore the posters on here who say it does not, it is so much better than putting chemicals on your dog too. Glad to have been some help to you.....

Well, I am not a vet, but I would guess no more than a teaspoonful per daily meal, or you will have a lot of doggy farts.
Not too good for the critter.
Any way, just as an aside, a swig of wine vinegar always stops hiccups, for all creatures, whereas brewers yeast will make you sick.
My Boxer dog, Gandalf, farts anyway, although on fine grub.
He has a bit of cod liver oil instead of yeast now and then, and is in fine condition, if still being a typical Boxer.
Bless him.
Bob.

Hi there - Brewers Yeast will not rid your dog of fleas.
You can use the old fashioned way of clearing the house of fleas though and use Borax powder.
This will kill any fleas on the carpet where they live for most of the time while off the dog.
I t must be used with some care and and should not be inhaled but this saves using nasty chemicals on dogs and cats which are definitely detrimental to their health.
Best wishes

The container should have directions on it,but my brewers yeast container has give 2 tablets per 10 lbs.daily as a diet supplement ,and 4 tabs for 10 lbs daily if dog is in stress,or pregnant. If your pet weighs only 5 lbs.,this means you would only give it 1 tab daily. These amounts for the supplment use is most commonly used for fleas, but surroundings should be sprayed with a flea killer, but remove pet first. You can also use the 3% sevin dust on your pet for fleas, but don't get into eyes or genitle area.

brewers yeast will not get rid of fleas use either a vet preparation or vinegar rinse 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water spray and rub on the dog if you dont want to bath but bathing normally then doing the final rinse will get rid of fleas and deter them....also gets rid of shampoo residue so helps stop scratching

Go to your vet and get Advantage. My vet only charges about $10 for a single dose and it lasts about a month. Homeade remedies rarely work.
