I have two cats, both male neutered. One of them likes to pee in the tub and just recently decided to pee in the bathroom sink when the tub door was closed. Their litter box is fresh and clean and we have tried a couple of different types of litter and have actually moved (so new tub) nd the cat has repeated the same behavior.
Although I am thankful he pees in a tub not on the carpet, I am wondering what might be causing the behavior and how I might go about changing it.
Please do not respond with scolding or locking the cat outside as I don't believe in that either of those methods are effective.

I'm in the market for another doggie. I have 2 children and want a dog that won't jump on them like our larger dog does. What is a good breed of house dog that is well mannered and good with children?

This is the stray cat we found on our doorstep awhile back. She seems absolutely healthy now but has a bit of an odd shape to her. I don't know how old she is but she looks about halfway between kitten and cat. Thanks for your help! cryllie

Would you want a kitten that was genetically engineered to stay a kitten forever?

Do you think it's possible? Seems like they would be able to engineer cats that stay small, but would it be possible to engineer them to at least maintain the same physical characteristics?

As I read all the questions and answers for dog, cats, birds, etc. I'm curious as to how people know what's right. I mean other then trial and error with your pet.

So many people are giving opposite advice. Veterinarians are contridicting each other. Breeders and trainers all have their own theories about what is right and wrong.

The dog food question is what made me really ponder this. Everyone says what they think is best, and most opinions differ. Isn't it just individual to the animal? I know some foods are proven to be better then others, but even as you research the internet to find what the essential nutrients are for a particular animal, you never find the same answer. Regardless of the source.

So who's to say that even your most trusted source, your vet, is right?

A sweet stray has adopted our family, it's been living on our pourch for almost three weeks, which is fine, it is warm and dry and I even got it a padded kitty hutch.

But we suspect it my have been the target of a bee-bee gun shot. Only proplem is we can't quite afford a vet, any other ideas would be really helpfull and most welcomed.

I have done tons of research on this over the years & have considered breeding, but at this time I am still educating myself. Some day, I would like to breed, when I can devote the proper time to do so. Most people say that if your dog isn't "conformation show quality" that you should not breed. Yet some organizations feel "showing" BC's & having that be a requirement to improve the breed will only cause the deterioration of what this breed is all about--being a working dog. Do you think it acceptable to breed with the standards of Agility & Obedience competition & titles achieved (sports this breed excels in), or should show quality be a must anyway? Maybe a little of both?

I am prepared to do all that will be necessary, to produce a desirable litter including properly titled sire/dam & being an available resource of support to those who take pups from litters produced, but I wonder how other BC breeders feel about the conformation ring? Is it needed?

We recently had it put on a ballot to put into effect the required registration of our (my county's) dogs. Though it was voted against, I, and many others, feel it is still very much needed. There are people being bitten and attacked. Nothing can be done to take the dogs off the streets b/c there are no leash laws or anything. So, what are some other steps that we can take? Are there organizations out there that can help us? What do we do next?
