i have alwayz wanted to work with animals at first i wanted to be a vet, that didnt work out as i couldnt stick a needle in an animal is there anything else out there i mean i have looked at other careers but well they are all jobs you know boring stuff like cleaning them out and feeding them, i didnt get the best grades in school (well i did crap in maths everything else was alright) so i dont want to try something out of my reach... can anyone think of a career in animal care that is exciting but still brings in the money that i need to have a great life????

Designing and making pet clothing and accessories is really big right now. Sell on eBay or something and eventually start a company with it.

Pet sitting is a possibility, but you won't make a whole lot of money. Same thing with dog walking.

If you can cook, you could make and sell organic homemade treats. Maybe you could even start you own company with that. Those types of things don't require much money to make, but cost a lot to buy.

You could open a doggy daycare if you have more money to start with. That makes more money than sitting or walking.

THat's tough...
but have you tried being a trainer.. i heard they get lots of money.. specially of horses... and i love horses!
lol
sorry..got carried away!
But.. you could also ask if you can be an assistant to the vet... and tell them you have a phobia of needles so maybe you can do eveyrthing else but not actually stick the needles in animal..
but you know what.... i think you should just practice more... go to the supermarket buy a bunch of cheap meat and get some sinringes and practice on it... b/c when i did a course for nursing i could not stick the needle and that's wha thtey had me do so i coul dget used to it..
but then again you cant think that it's gonna hurt the animal you have to say you are doing good to them b/c you are treating them...
and good luck wish you well!

Unfortunately, careers with animals are some of the most low-paying jobs out there. Apart from being a vet, you will not make enough to live a "great life" monetarily. Your options are:

Vet Tech (you will have to give injections)
Animal Rehabilitator (very time consuming, need licensing)
Zoo worker
or a general animal care provider, such as a worker in an animal shelter/rescue agency
or...dog walker, possibly

I am in pretty much the same situation!

I am considering becoming a vetinary nurse. I don't like injections and am afraid of that a bit, and the thought of having the responsibility of so many animals is pretty scary! But I am 16 and I'm caring for 12 pets of my own so I don't know why the thought of the responsiblity it scaring me!! I don't think I'm gonna do that good in my GCSEs or anything. :-(
Hope you find something that suits you!

You can try pet grooming. Thats fun and a challenge. Or maybe try getting a job at petsmart in dog training.
