I have a Weimaraner who is blind.
He is none years old and has been blind for about 5 years now.
He still hunts. Last year he brought home the first bird of the season.
We are more careful about where he is allowed to hunt. We need to know the field and what the terrain is like.
He still gets very excited and wants to go everytime.

Thanks! We recently rescued a stray off the street and he appears to have several problems although he is a lively little guy - long haired chihuahua.

Thanks for that information, I wish I had known about it when my Beagle started to suffer from the maladies that come with old age. I will definitely keep the info on hand for future reference. Thanks again!
