This is the stray cat we found on our doorstep awhile back. She seems absolutely healthy now but has a bit of an odd shape to her. I don't know how old she is but she looks about halfway between kitten and cat. Thanks for your help! cryllie

no, she doesn't try to run outside at all, she'll sit and look if the front door is open. she tries to run into rooms I don't want her to-because she's new we're basically confining her to the back porch (heated porch) unless we're actively playing with and/or supervising her.

look at her belly. if her nipples look ''popped out'', she is pregnant. she might be trying to get outside to make a place to have her kittens. take a box, newspaper, old towels that you don't mind getting really messy and leave alone in the box. she might stop going out because she now has a place to give birth. i hope everything works out.plus ,not to be mean ,but if she is pregnant ,you need to know that one out of every litter usually dies.

My cat always wanted to run out the door and teh water trick didn't work. So I was taping a sign to my door for the trick or treaters that the door bell was broken and she tried it again and I had an extra piece of packing tape and I stuck it to the bottom of her foot and now I do it whenever she tries to get out and it works great, it prevents her for over a week and it is kind of funny :)

Honestly, we all know cats natural instinct is to be outside. If its possible maybe you could allow her to go outside for a bit each day. She probably just wants some fresh air.
If she is a cat that like to run away then maybe you could be present with here outside. Every animal deserves to experience nature.

you can usualy feel irregular and large bumps on her stomach that woudl be the kitten inside. also if her nipples are distended thats a sign shes pregnant. but do bring her to the vet to be certian. as to the second question. thats just impossible
