Do you know if I could babysit someone's puppy? Or what about the animal shelter or something? Do they allow 14 year olds to babysit? If so, where?

I am considering buying one of these breeds, but have some questions. Can someone please answer these questions for me:
1. Can this dog be trusted not to run off, or will they typically take off to explore as soon as the door opens?
2. Do they like to swim?
3. How much do they shed?
4. How much does this breed bark?
6. Are they easy to train or too stubborn to learn?
7. How much do they typically sell for?

Thank you all.

My baby likes straws, which I know is pretty common. My adult cat got the screw off the bottom of the toilet.. you know the white cap piece.. and I kept finding it everywhere in the house.. I was grossed out.

What are some funny things your cat plays with? Also, does your cat like to hide its toys under your couch, bed, entertainment center, etc? I found about 4 mice, 3 straws and 2 balls under my entertainment center.

Hello everyone

I have a 4 month old goldendoodle who seems to be having a hard time transitioning from crate-trained to house-trained. She goes 8 hrs overnight, and 4 hrs during the day WHEN CRATED. However, I read that 4 month old puppies should be able to "hold it" 4-5 hours. My dog can only do that in her crate. outside of her crate, we are LUCKY if she can hold it an hour. I know she's a baby, but can she really be THAT far behind what "normal" puppies do? We got her at 9 weeks old and she was able to go 45 mins then. 2 months later and she's barely able to go more than that without an accident indoors. She has no infections or medical problems. We have been consistent with her from day 1, praising everytime she goes outside, taking her out every 45 mins. She pees immediately upon going outside whether it's after 15 mins, or if it's after 8 hrs overnight. She KNOWS to potty outside. But how can i get her to hold it longer when she isn't in her crate indoors? thanks

Once before my cat made a really horrible sound, and went to stand up and started walking really funny. That was a few months ago. And this morning, he did the exact same thing except he also pee'd everywhere. I am not sure if I should wait to see if it happens again, or go visit the vet.

I have a cat that is in her first heat, and an uneutered male dog. I know they can't make babies, but, the dog is following my cat around like glue. Should I try to seperate them? Will a dog try to mate a cat?

Like the human race, shouldn't we encourage mixed breeding with healthy parents, regardless of the type of dog?

I have a Boxer who is always happy, loves to run and play, is always happy to see me, and just has mannerisms that make me laugh. She is a source of unconditional love and constant entertainment . She actually makes me happier and better than I might otherwise be, because I'll be damned If I'm gonna let a dog be a better person than I am!!

With pugs and puggles going for $500-$600, I'm not sure which type to get. I am aware of the health problems with pugs, and that puggles are still susceptible to those problems.

I have this young cat that was recently resuced from a tree and given to me. his name is Vincent Price and is male. when we brought him home, we noticed that his nose was runny and that he was skinny. so we fed him and he ate very well and still does. he has put on weight but sneezes alot, and has some difficulty breathing (noisy, congested) he doesnt act lethargic, runs around and plays well with his new companion Gabriel, is a lap cat, and is all around well tempered. The sneezing and bloody mucus is freaking me out and I have no idea how to treat this. or what the cause is. we have had him for over two weeks now and the "kitty flu" scenario seems to be wearing thin, and am afraid its something worse. any ideas?

We are getting my son a pet rat. Is one sex nicer then the other? How big of a cage do they need to be happy? The lady at the pet store tried to talk us into a 3 level $130.00 cage.
