First off, what do you mean by babysit? Do you mean pet sit in their home? Or take the puupy to your home? Or are you talking about just coming to play with it after school?
Most people with any thought behind their decision would want an experienced person to pet sit their puppy. Most won't even plan trip until the puppies are old enough to get along several hours without going outside. If you don't have puppy experience already, then volunteer at a shelter for a year or so..
If you get your parent's permission and assistance, some shelters foster pregnant mothers into family homes until the puppies are old enough to adopt. You have to get your parents on board with this before you offer though. The nice thing about fostering is that the shelter usually covers all vet bills and sometimes even the food. You just give the time. Then you don't have all the trouble and committment of finding great permanent homes for the pups.
Caring for puppies is a big committment, though. It is very hard work cleaning up messes, keeping the place puppy-safe, chasing the little rascal around the yard with the underwear you didn't put in the hamper, Cleaning up messes, feeding seveal times a day. Cleaning up messes.. Very little of it is truly fun until they get a lot older. If you want to take this on, be prepared.

If it's ok with the owner and you feel comfortable I would take the kids and the dog for a walk- the dog is a puppy so he has ALOT of energy and they do become distructive if not drained of that energy- Because it's not your dog though there is little you can do- Plus you don't have experiance with dogs so that makes it double hard.. I starred you so hopefullly one of my budds will be able to help you If I was you I would find a new job.. The people you baby sit for sound stupid.. who has two kids and a dog and neither of them get attention until they get home from work.... not good

You could def. volunteer at an animal shelter with your parents consent. As far as puppy sitting maybe a neighbor would let you let their dog out to use the bathroom. I know I am very over protective of my dogs esp. when they were puppies bc they have to be watched constantly, you're prolly better off voulenteering.

You can be a foster family to many shelter animals,
But your whole family must approve.
In our rescue we only have foster homes no shelter to work from. Foster families are very important and needed.
Its great feeling knowing you made a difference.

They don't use "babysitters" at animal shelters, but they often want people to volunteer to play with the animals, and walk the dogs. Look in your phone book under "animal shelters" in your area, and call and ask them if you can do that.

Some animal rescue have foster parents who take they animals into their own home, you might have to get your parents to agree to it with shelter as long as you walk it and clean up after it every thing should be fine.

Check with your local shelter, but most shelters don't allow under 16 to volunteer with them. Check also with local rescue groups about volunteering to dogwalk, bathe, clean kennels, etc.
