I have a 4 month old daughter, and I plan on getting a chocolate lab soon, my mother thinks that it way to early. I think that if you teach the puppy to be easy around her he'll know before she starts crawling. And plus they can grow up together. : )

I have two cats (male and female). The female eats her food just like most cats do, one small bite at a time, but the male basically inhales his food without chewing, and then proceeds to yak it all over the carpet. I've tried just putting a little bit of food in the bowl for him, but if he can see the bottom of the bowl he won't touch it and just nags me to put more in. Any ideas on how to get him to slow down and chew?

She is particularly bad about chewing on things when she is put outside. She eats our plants (prefers flowers) and just today she ripped up a cushion on one of our patio furniture chairs. I purchased some bitter spray (rosemary) from PetsSmart but it doesn't seem to work. We give her chew toys but it seems she would rather chew other things. She seems to exhibit this behavior when she is left alone outside in our yard. When I bring her inside she is less likely to chew on things but I can't have a dog that lives inside exclusively.

We got my cat neutered and declawed in August of last year. Now one of his claws has grown back out. I didn't think this was possible.

I'm reading all of these news reports about hundreds of abandoned snakes in this state, is there an animal rescue looking for homes for them somewhere? I feel guilty buying one when there's probably some out there that need a home.

My great dane has a raised rash around her neck....it is raised and almost like it is scabs. She has had 2-3 ticks but they have been removed as we saw them. The bumps are black and raised and about the size of a dime.....

I have two male kittens less than four months old. The orange one keeps suckling on the grey one's back between the shoulder blades. What is up with that?

I don't get it! They clean themselves, they don't smell like dogs, and they cover their own poop. Also, they're beautiful, graceful, and intelligent.

i bought three platy's with a 2:1 female male relationship, as most websites reccomend (so that the male doesn't bully the females). but now they are reproducing very quickly. is there anyway to stop it other than giving away my male?

I have a 5 month old lab mix. My other dog hardly ever farts and this one farts a few times a day. I'm really being serious here, too, so please don't give me stupid responses. Do I need to change his food? Or is this normal?
