From a cat hater myself the first thing that disgusts me is their tail. Then how they can jump up on Kitchen counters and tables. Your cat might not do it when you're looking but who's to say he doesn't do it when you're not home? That just screams unsanitary. And they're not as affectionate as dogs are. Nothing beats coming home and having someone so excited to see you at the front door!

CATS ARE NOT EVIL!!!!!!!!!! They're not dumb and they're better then dogs because they cover up their dirt, unlike dogs who would go any where. What would you rather doooo??? Step in poop or smellll it????? Cats can clean themselves, unlike dogs. While bathing dogs they make a mess and you have to clean it up. What about rats and mice???? Your dog wouldn't be able to catch it, but a cat sure can. Atleast cats haven't forgotten their antcestors and still have instincts. Dogs have now become slaves not companions. Why you ask. Dogs will do almost anything they're told. Atleast cats have dignity and respect for themselves. If control freaks are upset, dogs won't comfort them until told. Cats, on the other hand, still have instincts and can catch their own food, protect their territory, and are beatiful as well as intelligent. If people call themselves a true nature lover and hate cats. Nah ah, a true nature lover wouldn't hate anything in nature (like myself becuase I love all creatures including dogs, even though I said all those things I still love them and I'm just trying to make a point) including a cat. Cats aren't evil, they aren't dumb, they are beautiful. and they are more independant because they still have their wild cat instincts and maybe don't trust us fully because some people kill their cousins and antcestors, the big cats, and they know what's happeing. Dogs dont' seem to have their wild instincts because they obey humans, are very affectionate and don't seem to want alone time, unlike wolves, and they're way tooooooooo friendly, also, unlike wolves. That's why I love cats more because I love wild animals even more and cats have their wild instincts.

They have been associated with pagan gods and witchcraft for eons, and people are superstitious about them. Also, a cat will not be ruled by anyone. At best, a cat will allow you to share space with them, but they won't be ordered around, and this bugs the control freaks and those who want to be superior to everything. Only well-adjusted, relaxed people who don't require a slavish pet can appreciate cats.
It has been theorized that the Great Plague of London (black plague, bubonic plague) which occurred in the 16th century was made much worse by the witch hunt that was going on at the same time. Women accused of being witches often had cats, and these were thought to be 'familiars,' or evil spirits. So in addition to murdering the women, cats were also sought out and killed by the thousands. This resulted in a population explosion of rats which carried the fleas that caused the Plague.

Lots of reasons, I suppose. But the one to which I chiefly subscribe is that cats make them feel intimidated or inferior.
Nothing on earth is so aggressively autonomous as felis domesticus--a misnomer since, unlike with dogs, man did not domesticate cats. They moved in and allowed people to care for and pamper them--numerous thousand years ago--and are still running the rig today. It works for them, and very much for the people they choose to accept as Staff.
But because cats are so very much their own creatures, many people find them either scary or uncomfortable, and so don't like them. If they would take the trouble to understand cats, and the time to relate to them as they relate to others, they could discover just what wonderful companions they are.
Sure, they're autocratic and inscrutable and demanding and like best to be spoiled as rotten as possible, but they never demand what they won't give as well to their people. No bs! Once you learn the basics of the cat mentality, and to treat them as friends instead of merely pets, you'll find there is none better to share house and home with you--so long as you don't neglect the litter box and the dust-mop.
Like any friendship, it takes more work than just a feeding now and again, and a full water-bowl. Cats are extremely social, and truly appreciate your care and companionship, even if you won't meow over the back fence with them.

I hate cats for a few reasons.
1. They may not stink but their litter boxes are far worse then smell of a dog. Dogs go outside where you don't have to smell it all the time.
2. Cats are mean and mischievous, my sister had a cat that would knock over a cup of watter on her while she was sleeping her if he wanted out of the room ( that's just one of many examples).
3. Cats are selfish and not loyal at all. You have to coax and plead to get them to do anything even though you're the one who provides them good and cleans their litter box. Their totally ungrateful.
4. Have you ever seen Lady And The Tramp, that really shows the true personality of cats.

There will always be a "Cat vs. Dog" issue between people. It's a futile debate because there will always be those who support one of the (or both) teams. Both cats and dogs have their good and bad points. One thing I don't like about cats is that they'll spray in the house, which really stinks. On the other hand, one thing I don't like about dogs is that they have to sniff everything...quite annoying. But I find admirable features of both creatures...hehehe, that rhymed! lol

I understand why and will simply.. try to explain... People(many) do not like cats because they do not understand cats. With a dog... the owner can call the dog and the dog will come.. with a cat, you call the cat.. it will hear but it may not come IMMEDIATELY but might come later.. They are very very independent and that is what /why people do not understand cats and thus, do not like them.. I love cats becauses I understand them.

I've found that people who "hate" cats are actually afraid of them and don't want to admit being afraid of a beautiful 10 pound animal. And that it started with one negative event with one cat and that they don't have enough experience with cats in general to realize what awesome creatures they are.
I had a friend who was terrified of my cats and when she came over it was a major profile in courage with her. She would sit on a kitchen chair and if one of my cats came in the room she would put her feet on the chair and go white...which was a funny sight since she was nearly 6 feet tall...Anyway when she was a kid, a neighbor's cat was sitting on the top of the garage door and when she closed it the cat dropped down on her head and scared the crap out of her. I used to tell her that I was relieved that she was there to break the fall...
Years later her daughter brought home a cute little tiger kitten, about 6 weeks old, and GUESS WHO insisted on sleeping with him to keep him happy and warm?...That's RIGHT...my friend the feline hater! See, she wasn't afraid of kittens...just cats, although as the kitten grew into adulthood he remained "her cat". When she moved to Florida, he rode with her in First Class. ...She had to go first class because otherwise kitty would have had to ride in the baggage department...Sorry for the long story but your question brought up some pretty cool memories. :)

My wife hates cats because the eye are evil looking. Plus they are independent animals unlike dogs. You can't control them or do anything.
