Up here where I live they do not sell dogs or cats but do have adoption days.
Personally if I were you I would not buy a dog from a store or any type of facility like that. I would go to a breeder. Most puppies that are sold in stores come from puppy mills and you have a high chance of buying a puppy that is not in the best of health which in the long run will cost you more in vet bills.
Do some research online and find a good breeder for the type of puppy you want and then do more research.
