Yes, you'd completely screw up his sense of balance.

the cut does not hurt, but it will leave your kitty disabled. As there are many sensors in the whiskers that help the cat´s balance.
Also the cat measures with its whiskers if it fits through a hole or not.
I heard of a kitty whose whiskers were cut by some idiot years ago. It hurt itself badly, always bumped its head and freaked out completely. It was never the same again.
Cutting the whiskers is a horrible abuse.

Yes you would seriously hurt your cat. Its whiskers are its prime sense of balance. They also use them as little detectors to know where they are going in the dark so they don't run into anything. So heads up don't cut you cats whiskers.

First, I'm glad to hear you won't do that.
The cat's whiskers serve a purpose and have nerve endings
in the hairs to help the cat maneuver through tight spaces. It
tells the cat if it can fit through a small hole for example.
Without the whiskers to guide it, the cat would act as if it were
blind or visually challenged.

Does it damage once you get a hair reduce? because it truly is all whiskers are; hair. The cat may be disoriented for somewhat till it receives used to the lacking whiskers in spite of the indisputable fact that it has a great number of others senses to seize up on the whisker loss and this passes immediately.

I don't know if it is true or not, but someone once told me that a cat's whiskers were the same length as the width of its head. They use them as a sort of radar to see if they can fit into tight spots. If this is true and you trim his whiskers, don't be surprised if he gets stuck somewhere.

no you would not hurt it. whiskers stick out as far as the body is wide so the cat can feel if it will get stuck when going into a small space
