I have a boxer/mastiff mix.
what started out as a cute little boxer that never lost his puppy face grew into a 167 lb monster that is the best guard dog yet. Yeah I am only joking about the guard dog thing... he is more likely to look at a burglar and say
" ooooh ooooh ooooh play with me, the dvd is in that room, and the vido games over here and don't forget the silverware in the hutch"
he's not the brightest but trying to take a nap on the couch gives new meaning to wrestlemania. most of the time he ends up sleeping ON me. I love my dog. He doesn't drool he, is not mean spirited.
My brother calls him the idiot savant of dogs, but he's just Sunny (wigglebutt - when he sees me he gets excited and wags his whole butt since he doesn't have a tail)

Maltese and Shitzu. They are good apt dogs, even though I own a house. They are extremely affectionate little lap dogs and couldn't be better companions. Plus if your not into alot of exercise they are low maintanence dogs, they don't require a lot of exercise. They are excellent watch dogs, being very, very alert and inquisitive. They do require alot of brushing and combing compared to other breeds. But I enjoy taking care of them and making them look nice. Maltese in particular are perfect for people with allergies since they have only one coat and do not shed. Since they don't have an undercoat, you need to be careful that they don't stay out in the hot sun or very cold weather without protection. Their skin is pink like ours and very delicate. It really depends on what you want the dog for, obviously if you want a dog to run with you as an exercise companion they would be a poor choice. If you want a large guard dog to protect property and frighten off intruders they would be a poor choice. Mine would probably lick them to death, lol. Good Luck if you are getting a dog they are wonderful friends and companions whatever they are.

I prefer the American Pit Bull Terrier or the American Bulldog. The are both well mannered dog that make GREAT family companion and guard dogs....if well socializes and properly handled by someon that knows what tey are doing. They truly are great breeds. They love to run, play, swim, and all sorts of other outdorr activities.

Yorkies (small) or English Bull Dogs (large).
Both are precious. I have a Yorkie who is sweet and gentle. He has a little bit of social anxiety sometimes, but super-sweet. His size does make him more apt to health risks. But, he is loyal and beautiful.
English Bull Dogs are so cute! They drool a lot, but are really friendly and sweet.

Chinese Shar-peis are nice I have one, not my favorite though. Some are way too wrinkly my dog only has wrinkles on his head now but the upside of having one is that they are very clean, and house train easily.

A Shiz Tzu (I think that's how you spell it) They're so cute and adorable. But at the moment my family has a Siberian Husky, and He's making me laugh trying to catch this fly that keeps landing on his foot.
