Yes. All the time. It is quite common. They like the sun and like to watch the birds and squirrels.

My two cats always lay in the window which I don't get because my oldest cat is aloud outside.My kitten can't go outside so I'd probably lay in the window to if I couldn't go outside.I lay in the window and look outside when I'm grounded and can't go outside.LOL

I've actually got some window platforms that fit into the window with braces beneath. All of my cats love to sit in the windows.

Yeah, he got too big for the ledge on the window sill, so we attached a cat shelf/seat to it. He'll lay there for hours just watching out the window (when he's not sleeping).

Oh yes..my cats love to lay in the windows. I think it serves two purposes for them. One, they enjoy the nice sunlight to snooze in and two, they can rest there and keep an eye out on their territory in the safety of their own house.

All cats love to sunbath. They get nutrients from the sun absorb through the skin. Plus cats just love to sleep and what a better place then in the warm sun.

Mine does. She loves the sunshine! Also, sometimes she hits her head, because there a lot of small birds on the feeder outside. It must be like watching a cooking show when you're hungry =)

mine love the windows. they even chewed a hole in the blinds just big enough for them to fit through so they can have easy access to that window. they love to watch and cackle at Birds etc.

If there's 2 things my cat loves is windows and boxes...not sure why boxes though.
