I live in a cold place that is overcast most of the winter, and my apartment is situated so little direct sun gets in regardless. I've tried a few different kinds, but they always struggle in winter, and aren't as full and healthy as they were in my old place. Any suggestions?

Should it roll over toward the front and come from the top, or come from the back of the roll, and be pulled from the bottom? This is a family dispute.

I noticed it when I was killing FL tussock moth caterpillars around my house and I did something a little, well... creative. It killed it instantly, and I realized I'd eaten a bowl of corn flakes -- and that whole BT corn flap was going on, is it safe to eat and how the pollen was blowing at crops intended for human consumption unintendedly. What is the current status on that from 2 years ago?

I have a wood-burning fireplace, and most of the time the smoke does what its supposed to do and heads right up the chimney. But how do I reverse the draft when I light a fire and all the smoke comes pouring out into the living room? I rent a townhouse and I'm not going to invest any money in a place I don't own, so one of those chimney cap things isn't really an option. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Do I need a transformer for domestic use? They're the large ones that are used outside. I didn't think they'd miss them as half of them are blind anyway.

Have just had new gas fire fitted - but engineer says that there's no gas coming through supply to fire. Years ago - had old fire disconnected (the pipe was pinched off at the fire point) but I must have had it reconnected at some stage - because pipe was still attached to old fire. So - the pipe has been cut through or cut off somewhere else in the system. I don't want to pay the guy a load more money to find out where this is - so any gas fitters out there??? It's a mystery why the supply wasn't cut off at the fire point both times? Does this all make sense? No time-wasting replies or funnies please! This is my cash we're talking about!
