Actually - halogen heaters are the most expensive to run. A natural gas heater is the cheapest (you could even go propane).

No not at all they are sometimes 2 -3 kilowatt in realistic terms thats 3000 watts
and thats the same as having 50 x 60 watt light bulbs on in your house.
Use the centeral heating , much cheaper

Look on the rating plate for the loading. If its a 1 kw rating and its on for say 8 hours it will cost about 8x1=8 x12p = 96p per 8 hour day, depends on your exact cost for electricity. If it's 2kw and on all day, 24 hours it will cost, 2x24x12p = £5.76 per day!

halogen unites are power full, and draw a lot of power.
They are not very cost efficient to run
