It is the first day of spring today here in australia & I have a massive lavender bush out the front of my house right on the footpath. I have noticed already that bees are occupying the plant & I really dont want anyone to be stung. Any suggestions would be grateful, thanks in advance for the answers.

My husband and I, may be moving into a place with another person. What is a fair way of splitting the rent?

If we move into a two bedroom place, we (husband and I) will be occupying one bedroom, and the other single person will be occupying the other bedroom. Do we split the rent in thirds, or in half?

If there were 3 bedrooms (each with or own), splitting the rent in thirds wouldnt be a problem. Any utilities would be split in thirds also.

But with 2 bedrooms, 2 people in one room and one in the other room. Do you split the rent in half, and the utilities split in thirds? Ultimately the married couple are not occupying an more room or rooms than the single person.

Let me know what you think?

but my bfriend & i just discovered 4 days ago that we have mice in our apt. & im FREAKING out. we live in a very nice apt, in an excellent neighborhood. attached garage, fireplace, vaulted ceilings, etc. so we thought it was really nice & it was only 10 mos ago we moved in- i SWEAR we are both clean freaks, so, how the hell is this happening?!!!! I called my landlord & she said they've seen them here (in this complex) b4 & acted like its not a big deal & she said the mgmt doesnt exterminate & told us to set traps & put out poison & stuff, but it hasn't worked in 2 days & we dont know what to do!!! my bfriend found where they're coming from & they're coming out of the wall & it leads downstairs to our neighbors & we're going to talk to them, but if they are coming from around the pipes downstairs then doesnt that mean that even if we get rid of them, they will come back?! if anyone has any knowledge of how to deal w/ this pls contact me bcuz we dont know if we should just move?

I just moved to a second floor of a triple decker, and the apartment was just remodeled--the landlord who purchased the house had a wall put in the middle of the floor, thus dividing the floor into two apartments. I rented one of these apartments, and when other tenants moved into the second apartment, it turned out that the wall in between does not hold anything at all. I can hear every word that people are saying in the other side, even if they are talking quietly. When there is music, it is like I have music on in my apartment. I hear every small sound they make, and they can hear me, so I can't even talk on the phone. The landlord implied that it his not his business and does not want to deal with the situation. My question is--what are my options here, as the noise situation is absolutely unbearable. Did the landlord violate building codes by putting a simple interior wall without any insulation to divide separate apartments? Is it his responsibility to do something about it?

isn't mortgage insurance for if you die, the loan will be paid off? if so wouldn't life insurance do the same, so why is mortgage insurance needed. Must you have it or is it just a option?

I have tried gathering up all his droppings & putting them in one corner of the yard & hosing off the rest of the lawn, but that didn't change anything at all. He continues to leave piles all over the back lawn. He is a fairly large dog (pointer) & is very smart, but also very stubborn. I also tried catching him "in the act" & taking him to where I want him to go, but then he won't go at all until I leave.
