There is a lot of information available on the internet. A Yahoo search for "hyacinth care" (include the quotation marks in the Yahoo search box) yields 2,000 results. You can buy hyacinth bulb vases and grow them in water. Just the botton of the bulb set in the water, but it will continue to grow and bloom. You can also plant it in a small pot with soil....water it, feed it after the bloom dies and either way the fragrance from the bloom will fill the air in your home.

Are they paperwhites? They will do fine in a small pot; they bloom nicely and then the flowers fall off. After that they probably wont put out flowers next year but you can have them outside in the ground, just green blade things without flowers. Keep them watered while in the pot inside, but not soaking wet.
