This may be a daft question to some but where after a new washing machine that will also dry the clothes. We want one that does not need ducting to an outside vent. Is there such a machine? We have a 1100 spin servis now and loads of washing that never drys quick enough over maidens in the house.

Me and my wife just signed the lease to our beautiful new home. We love everything about it... except for the carpet. The stains are horrible. Stanley steamers just came and steam cleaned it and most of the stains wont come out. Our landlord won't replace the carpet. And ideas other then using rugs

I just moved into an apartment and I have a HUGE spider problem! It is just a small one bed one bath apt, I keep it very clean with not clutter and nothing on the floor but I see at least one spider a day. Last night, I saw 2 within 10 minutes of eachother and then another one this morning. I kill them everytime I see it so I am not seeing the same one. I have the bug man come once a week. I don't know what else to do... does anyone know what will keep the spiders away??

I'm seriously thinking about moving out. Please help!!

my sister lives down the road from me, i have just had a pay rise from work i wondered if my friends and family might think it is just actual laziness if i asked (and paid) my sister to help our with the general day to day upkeep of my home

i went to a friend of mines house the other day and it was just lovely to go into her home and be able to sit down and feel uncluttered in her home,

it quite upset me and i am really embarrased but i have to admit i am not able to do it by myself

would you automatically call that lazy or not

what do you think if i used my pay rise to treat my self to having someone else to help me run the day home keeping

oooh i am so embarrased

would you be

is it best to admit defeat after all this time

i am just so upset with all the muddles

i am not dirty i am just very untidy i would be nice to have it clear when i get in at the end of the working day

would you do this

what do you think

Does anyone use them? Are they worth the cost? Are there cheaper alternatives that are of equal or better quality?

Someone told me it made the oven heat unevenly and cooking time longer, but I keep foil on the bottom of it so it's easier to clean. Just wondering if it was really true that it's more harmful than helpful.

My washing machine doesn't seem to be getting enough water. Water just trickles into the powder despencer so i have to top it up with 3 or 4 jugs of hot water. Could it be anything to do with the water pressure? All taps are running ok. Its not blocked as it has been checked. Thanks!

PS. have a newborn baby in house so really need clean clothes all the time!!

I have a clothes washer in my new home ( 5-10 years old) and it does not have the place where Im supposed to pour the bleach. All of my other machines have always had a spout where I poured it and it despensed it directly into the flowing water. How do I add bleach to a washer without a hole??

I bought one of those mops with the disposable cloths today and on the box it reads "keep out of reach of children and pets to avoid accidental ingestion." This brings up some strange mental imagery. There are no chemicals included; it's just a mop handle with disposable cloths. Any idea how one could ingest a mop?

I have white leather couches that are about 8 years old. There aren't any cracks or anything, but there are grayish spots from storage. It looks kindof like mildew or mold or something, but it is very stubborn to come out. I've tried using typical leather cleaners and conditioners, but it only works moderately well. Is there any way to bring them back to a nice white?
