Pipe cleaners work wonders when dipped in hot white vinegar. They go into all the little cracks and crevices without hurting a thing.

Are you talking about something for illegal drugs? They are best cleaned by immersion in sea water, well over 100 meters for 300 years. People who have done this have never reported any problem after they removed them from the 100 meter immersion in sea water for the specified duration. The duration is critical. People who did it for a couple of days report ineffective cleaning.

Is it wood, plastic, ceramic ? There are different ways to clean different kinds. But none of them are very hard. If it is plastic or ceramic just put it the top rack of the dishwasher.If it is wood use the pipe cleaner method.

Well, I have a middle eastern friend who uses one of those things to smoke his tobacco and he soaks his in alcohol to remove the tar residue.

unless your smoking cement it shouldnt be that hard. If you can fit anything in there like a toothbrush or a q-tip break that stuff out.
