I just moved into an apartment and I have a HUGE spider problem! It is just a small one bed one bath apt, I keep it very clean with not clutter and nothing on the floor but I see at least one spider a day. Last night, I saw 2 within 10 minutes of eachother and then another one this morning. I kill them everytime I see it so I am not seeing the same one. I have the bug man come once a week. I don't know what else to do... does anyone know what will keep the spiders away??

I'm seriously thinking about moving out. Please help!!

The only spiders I've seen are Wolf Spiders. They are harmless but they are huge and very ugly looking!

I think we live in the same apartment......After I read your post I thought in my head "Did I write this and forget???" Haha. Uhm yeah I have found no resolution so I saved a giant one in a Tupperware and set it on the desk in the leasing office. They are letting me break my lease.
Good luck

The spiders are coming from another part of the building and they are looking for bugs to eat, so you have more than a spider problem. Contact the landlord (in writing and keep a copy) and give him a chance to get rid of them. If he refuses, or doesn't answer, send him a notice(in writing and keep a copy) that you will have the building inspected and treated by Orkin and deduct the cost from your rent.

I had spiders in my basement until I got rid of cardboard boxes (I read that spiders are attracted to cardboard) and replaced anything stored in plastic containers. Also, I bought Ortho Home Defense spray and I spray that around once a month and the only spiders I ever see are dead ones.

Spiders are a little tougher than other normal bugs. You need to tell your pest controller to specifically spray for spiders. Dursban should do the trick.

Notify the landlord..in writing all that good stuff. It is his job to take care of them. If you can't wait or are too freaked out, go to Lowe's or HD and get a gallon of spray $8-12 and spray, that should take care of them.

Get a couple of medium sized stinging desert scorpions and set them loose in your apartment. They will eat the spiders.

r we talking bout 'daddy-long-legs' spiders?

they r harmless and dont bother me.

but i would suggest maybe using incense in ur house/appt... my friend had a spider problem too and ever since i bought her incense she has been using it and it seems that the spiders r leaving.. so i dunno try it.
