I rub a little Dawn dish soap into grease stains about 20 minutes before washing them. If it has already been through the dryer, though, the stain is likely set. If so, make a paste of Dawn and baking soda. Apply it to the stain and let it sit overnight before laundering.

Ethanol is too polar to remove any amount of nonpolar material like grease. Vodka is 40% ethanol, with the balance being water, making it even more polar so it will be ineffective.

Commercial laundry pretreatments tend to work a lot better for this type of stain.

Keep the vodka for its designed purpose - which is not a degreaser.

I don't know about Vodka cutting grease, but there is a pre-treater that I use that works awesome. Spray n Wash Dual Power. Has a clear side and a pink side that mix together when you use it. Just don't leave it on for extended amounts of time because it will discolor the clothing. Good Stuff!

Use a laundry stain stick and hot water. My favorite shirt had a grease stain and my sister told me about this and it really works.

Mate, drink the stuff it's too expensive to put on your cloths unless you dribble!

Use Eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil - rub into stain then launder using laundry powder or liquid in warm water.

* Like Dissolves like - Oil will soften / dissolve the stain and surfactants will help to lift, suspend (due to micellular action) and wash away your troubles ;-)

Good luck!

I have never heard that but, Dawn dishwasher liquid does. Just rub in on the oily stain and then wash. The stain will be gone.

Wet the spot, rub both sides of the cloth with a bar of FELS NAPTHA laundry soap, let it sit a while and launder it as usual.
