I've looked at different brands of front loaders and saw that Consumer Reports has LG at #1...so I'd like opinions from people who have them and how do they work. Any problems? My old washer is ready to go and I need to get a replacement before that happens. i want one that saves me water and energy. Does anyone know how much water they use for a normal load? I've always had a top loader so this will be a first for me! Thanks everyone.......

Ok, i can wash my towels and put them directly into the dryer and they STILL smelled soured. Why is this?? It is so obnoxious. Sometimes i have to wash my towels up to three times to get the smell gone. Any suggestions??

Well I took the chicken nuggets out of the oven and I went to wash the pan when it broke all the sudden what happened. Oh and the pieces went into my garbage disposal and now it isn't turning on at all. Is it the glass jamming it or is it broken completely.

I know there are some things I can sell, but other items, like old yearbooks, sticker albums, photographs can't be sold. I hate the idea of these things taking up space in a landfill (I love to recycle)...what do I do with all that junk? Do people really want to buy a 20 year old sticker album at a garage sale or on eBay?

OK, I've heard the Dyson vacuum cleaner is awesome, especially for dog air. I'm wondering which is better between these two: 1)Dyson - Animal HEPA Upright Bagless Vacuum - Titanium/Purple Model: DC17 SKU: 8046161 $549; or 2)
Dyson - Animal Upright Bagless Vacuum for Pet Hair - Lavender Model: 0064 SKU: 7385983 $599.

I need a multisurface vacuum that can pick up lots of dog hair, as I have two big dogs that shed a ton! If you don't like these Dyson's feel free to recommend something else. Thanks for your help.

My husband is training for a marathon and I get to wash his exercise clothes. Occasionally when he runs there is a "foam" running down from his clothes - what causes this?
(I use Tide and Downy - I do not double rinse.)

Does anyone know if Febreeze Antimicrobial is actually disinfecting? It says it kills "99.9% of odor-causing bacteria"...but what about 99.9% of bacteria in general?

I've been wanting to buy regular old ammonia, not mixed with any colors or chemicals, just dilute household ammonia, because it's supposed to be great for cleaning stuff around the house. Anyone know what stores I can buy this, what aisle it's in, and estimated cost? I've checked Walmart, but didn't find it.

spandex shorts? They are 44% cotton, 44% polyester, and 12% spandex. They are a little too big and i was wondering if they would shrink in the wash.

I was cleaning the bathroom and must have gotten a little bleach on my black cotton shirt. Now there's a pink bleach stain right on the front. Since the shirt is pretty much ruined, as is, can I throw the shirt into the wash with bleach to change the color of the entire shirt? What will happen? Will it turn white? Pink? Has anyone ever tried this??
