My husband is training for a marathon and I get to wash his exercise clothes. Occasionally when he runs there is a "foam" running down from his clothes - what causes this?
(I use Tide and Downy - I do not double rinse.)

Liquid downey should take care of the excess detergent in the clothing. Maybe you should try double rinsing and see if that helps?

I would rewash them. It also sound as if they aren't rinsing well. Don't over load the washer and dryer.
