I prefer to use baking soda, but you can mix it with salt. I just put some in my hand and brush my teeth with it dry. Another good thing is to hold peroxide in your mouth a few times a day.

The only thing I ever used salt water for was when my baby teeth fell out as a kid, and when I developed pericorinitis when my wisdom teeth started growing in, and while it does certainly clear out infection, I'm not sure if it whitens teeth, but I have been doing a salt water rinse every time I brush my teeth now, and have notice a change in the color for the better. So I would say yes. But if you really want to whiten your teeth, baking soda and peroxide are your best friends! Just don't swallow! Lol.

no but you can use it anyway to clean them. Its just that salt is abrasive. Just dip your brush in some salt! Baking soda does whiten teeth a bit though, do the same with it!

I have heard baking soda to whiten teeth.
Salt is good for keeping your gums healthy. 1/2 teaspoon in a little water, swish around your mouth and gums.
As for the baking soda, you can put a little in you hand, wet your toothbrush and deep into the soda, brush your teeth.

I brush my teeth with baking soda/toothpast 2x a day.... I first put my toothpaste on my toothbrush and dip the brush into the baking soda.. It will stick to the toothpaste.. Just be sure to use a different container than the box the soda comes in.. Use a margarine container or something like that.. I brush my teeth for about 3 min and rinse.... My teeth/gums are very, very white and healthy... My mother used to work for a dentist and he suggested this after I got my braces off to remove stains... It's also good to use along with your normal face soap to exfoliate your skin.. Just sprinkle a bit on your hands with your face soap and wash.. Your skin will be glowing and smooth.. I'm allergic to most exfoliants.. So, this works for me and is super cheap.... Good luck

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.
Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

the only way to stop this multi-million
bacteria destroyer
is to rinse ur mouth out or brush ur teeth with iodized salt
the salt that one puts on their food
iodized salt destroys the bacteria instantly on contact
pour some salt in the palm of ur hand the size of a 10 cent coin
wet and shake the water of the brush-
dip the end of the brush in the salt
u don't need to use a lot of salt
then brush and then rinse out with fresh water
see how clean and fresh ur mouth feel
and u will never get another tooth ache or a cavity
iodized salt will destroy bacteria under old fillings caps and crowns
iodized salt will also help to keep u from getting sick
keep a box of iodized salt in the bathroom
a box will last u about a year.
5 years ago last October my teeth started to go bad
i brushed with iodized salt to destroy the bacteria in my mouth
i never had another tooth ache or a cavity
in that 5 years
if ur mouth or gums are sensitive to salt-or ur tongue has a noticeable heavy white coating on it the bacteria has already
eaten away parts of our teeth, mouth and gums
then just rinse ur mouth with mild iodized salty water
then rinse out with fresh water do this for 2 weeks
to give our mouth and gums a chance to heal
