Well I took the chicken nuggets out of the oven and I went to wash the pan when it broke all the sudden what happened. Oh and the pieces went into my garbage disposal and now it isn't turning on at all. Is it the glass jamming it or is it broken completely.

The garbage disposal could be jammed and may need to be unjammed and reset. I use a long screw driver and turn the blades counter clockwise. If the blades still will not budge and the motor is not humming, take a look at the motor and there is a reset button. Press it and try the switch again. Be very careful sticking your hand down in the disposal. You may even want to use the screw driver to dislodge potential glass frags.

Never set a hot glass dish into or onto water. It will explode. Sounds like the glass is jamming the disposal. Always let the glass dish cool before adding to water. Even if you have just a few drops of water on a counter that can be enough for it to explode.

Putting cool or cold water onto a glass pan that's right out of the oven will cause the glass to break. Good luck unjamming the disposal.

There is probably a piece of glass wedged in the blade of the garbage disposal. Wear thick gloves and get the glass out. The dish was probably too hot to be washed and it imploded.

Ouch... it wasn't Pyrex or Anchor Hocking !! Those are brands of tempered glass that won't do that...

Yes, the garbage disposal is jammed, trying to use IT to chew glass will burn out the motor.

Put on heavy gloves to get out the pieces, OR take the disposal out (after disconnecting the power) to get ALL the glass out.

Sorry to hear 'bout the accident.
